- the wrapper shown in the patent application FI 970486 is therefore equipped with double film pre stretchers to minimise the damage by a possible crack on the plastic film. If the film during the wrapping cracks on one of the stretchers the remaining of the bale will not be totally without plastic while the second unit will continue to wrap the bale. Unfortunately the part of the bale not ready at the moment of the disturbance will receive a thinner coverage than normally.

- the wrapper consist of a conventional wrapping unit 1 mounted on a frame 2 equipped with wheels.
- the wrapping unit is equipped with two separate stretching units 3 and 4 for the plastic film.
- Each of this stretching units are equipped with sensors 5 and 6 for film cracks. These can alternatively be designed as rotation sensors on the stretcher rollers (if the film cracks the rollers of the stretcher will stop), or as a sensor roller on the stretched part of the film as in the patent application FI 955062. Also other types of film sensors are known in the technique.
- the signal is transferred further to an electronic control system, which during the wrapping registers the number of layers applied to the bale. If the film roller in one of the film stretcher will be empty, or if one of the films will crack, the wrapping process will not stop as in present known applications of film sensors ( ex. FI 955062) but the control system will in stead of that double up the remaining amount of revolutions needed for the stretcher units to rotate around the bale before the bale is stated as finished. In this way the number of disturbance cases, where the driver has to stop the press, step down from the tractor cabin and correct the problem will be reduced by the half, which will give a remarkable increase of the total capacity of the machine combination.
- the machine also is equipped with a separate speed control system for the rotation of the bale and for the rotation of the wrapping arm.
- the control program can be designed to halve the rotation speed of the bale if one of the films will be all or crack. In this way also the film overlap between the layers on the bale will be constant in spite of the disturbance on one of the stretcher units.
- the main advantage of the system is that it greatly increase the capacity of the wrapping of bales as the number of disturbing cases by which the driver has to stop the work and leave the tractor cabin is roughly cut by the half.

Abstract
La présente invention concerne un système de commande pour unité d'emballage de balles rondes, utilisé en agriculture, comprenant un châssis (2), une unité d'emballage (1) classique équipée de deux unités d'étirage (3 et 4), toutes deux étant équipées de détecteurs séparés de l'état du film (5 et 6) et d'un système de commande (7) électronique qui commande le processus d'emballage, de sorte que lorsqu'une anomalie de film est détectée sur l'une des unités d'étirage, le nombre de révolutions restant à effectuer par le processus d'emballage est automatiquement doublé. Si des anomalies de film surviennent simultanément sur les deux unités d'étirage, le processus d'emballage s'arrête.
