Abstract

A toothpick that has an angle shape, due to the sinew (5) along the axis, with a hook on the one tip. It is a toothpick that has formation at both tips. One tip of the toothpick is pointed (2) hook and notched (6) which can be used as a 'saw' for cutting in pieces food remainders. The other tip has the shape of a pointed (4), notched (6a) hook (3).

Description

TOOTHPICK WITH A HOOK
D E S C R I P T I O N
A toothpick that has an angle shape and a hook on the one tip .
The invention is a toothpick that has tormation at both tips. One tip ot the toothpick is a notched hook while the other tip is notched and pointed.
The toothpicks that are manufactured up to date, aremade of wood or plastic materials, have a cylindric or flat shape and pointed tips, or one pointed and one rlat in order to ease handling.
These kinds of toothpicks, are considerably thicker in comparison to the narrow spaces among the teeth, so they cannot go through in these spaces most of the times, the y b r eak easily during the attemp ( the wood ones), and they ca n onl y clean teeth horn the front side .
Also because they are straight, not flexible and quite thick, thev cannot roach the back side of most ot the teeth or enter among the spaces or the back, side teeth canine teeth, wisdom teeth e.t .c. ), inside out, because usually, these teeth are very cl ose to each other, The above mentioned limitations of use, ot the currently sold toothpicks, and their lack of effectiveness has led me to the idea ot designing a very flexible and thin toothpick which will provide to the user the lol lowin advantages.
A) It will enter easily even in the nar lowest spaces between the teeth without breaking, B ) It will clean ettectivelly the front and the back sides or the teeth. as well as the spaces among teeth, πom the front and inside out. and the back, side teeth (wisdom teeth, canine teeth) C) the notched finish of both tips, can be used for even better cleaning or the spaces among teeth and teeth surface, as well as tor cutting in pieces and ease removal of tood remainders, ( meat fibres, dried nuts, vegetables e.t.c.) and other substances, which very often remain among the teeth and are causing decay, plaque built up, tartar, and gum diseases.
The invention is a toothpick so thin and flexible that- due to the flexibility, and the shape, it can enter through the most narrow spaces among teeth, and it can reach even the back side teeth ( wisdom, canine,
e.t.c), and clean the spaces among them, even from the inside out.
A practical demonstation or the design of the toothpick in reference, is given at the ammended pages, figure 1 and figure 2. (Fgure 1 demonstrates the top plan view, ( bottom plan view corresponds ).
Figure 2 demonstrates the shape and the sector ot the toothpick.
I am numbering the main parts ot the toothpick, with reference to corresponding numbering of the parts shown in figure 2. Please note that the design is an
indicative demonstration, not scaled and it gives only . pressumed proportion of spaces, between the ditferent parts of the unit.
In figure 2 we can see that the toothpick is consisted by the main part or axis (1), that has an angle shape due to the sinew ( 5 ) along the axis (1). The main part or axi s (1) of the toothpick has formation at both tips. One ti p 60 is pointed ( 2 ) , flat and notched ( 6), while the other tip has the shape of a hook (3), which is notched (6a) and pointed (4) .
The pointed tip (2) can be used to clean the teeth from the front side as well as to enter the spaces among teeth 65 from the front side, while the tip (4) at the end of the hook (3) can be used to clean the spaces among the teeth inside out, as well as the back side of the teeth, from all substances, which cause teeth and gum diseases, and tartar built up.
The toothpick in reference can be made of plastic or metal or wood or other suitable raw materials in sheet or in another form, that could be used for the
production of a thin, flexible and intensive streneh's toothpick.
The methods of manufacturing maybe either machine cutting, or by clasting into moulds.
Please note that the toothpick in reference may not limit its methods ot manufacturing only to the ones mentioned above. It may be possible to manuracture the described and indicatevely demonstrated toothpick by using other means of manufacturing and still have an identical product.
