Abstract

Ce groupe de four électrique contient un four à arc (1) à sole conductrice (3), au moins deux électrodes (2) et des sources d'alimentation (6) au nombre égal à celui des électrodes et qui contienent chacune un transformateur (7), un groupe de valves (8) et une unité de commande (9). Chaque source d'alimentation est connectée par des gaines de conducteurs (4 et 5) à une électrode et à la sole conductrice, en formant des branches parallèles. Les sources d'alimentation (6) contiennent des groupes frontaux et parallèles de valves commandées (8), tandis que les unités de commande (9) et l'unité de commande centrale (10) sont faites de telle manière que leur construction permet de régler ou d'inverser la tension de sortie des sources d'alimentation et de régler également la période d'inversion, la phase et le rapport entre les durées des polarités négatives et positives de la tension de sortie.
