Abstract

The invention refers to an electrical power conductor with low skin effect that can be used in the transport, the distribution and the use of electric energy. In order to reduce the skin effect the conductor is made of several thin metal wires (1) that are each coated with an electroinsulating film (2) thus resulting in a significant reduction of skin effect due to the fact that the current flows through smaller sections, as well as in a reduction of the said effect within the wires that are surrounded by other wires, as a result of the repression of the current towards the centre of wire sections due to the proximity effect that comes forth among them, through the wires of the same conductor the flow currents passing in the same direction as they are parallelly connected.

Description

ELECTRICAL POWER CONDUCTOR WITH LOW SKIN EFFECT
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention refers to an electrical conductor with low skin effect, designed for installations, machines, equipment and electrical apparatus with the means of which there is carried out the transport, the distribution and the use of electric power.
BACKGROUND ART
Electrical power conductors made of metals (copper, aluminium and steel) are known and widely used in the manufacturing of conductors made of a single wire or multiple wires but there is the disandvantage that in AC there comes forth the skin effect (that is slightly lessened with conductors made of twisted wires) but that in fact is very strong and comes out the stronger the larger the section of the conductors and of work frequency is. Due to the skin effect the conductors supplimentary warm up and thus need a dimensioning of sections that are too large in ratio to the values of the current that flows through them.
DISCLOSURE OF INVENTION
This invention eliminates the above mentioned disadvantage in such way that, in order to reduce the skin effect, is made a division of the section of the conductor by manufacturing it from several thin metal wires, each of them being covered on the outside by an electroinsulating film, thus reducing the skin effect both due to the current flow through conducting wires with a reduced section and to the repression of the current towards the center of the sections of the wires. These wires are also surrounded by other wires as a result of the proximity effect that comes forth among them and through them flows current in the same direction due to the fact that they are parallel connected.
The electrical power conductor with low skin effect, according to the invention, has the advantage that, by using it, there is a significant gowth of the power that is carried in a section unit of the conductor and thus significantly reducing investment costs in transport, distribution and use of electric power.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
Further there is shown an example of a mode of carrying out of the invention in connection with the figure that presents a cross section of a conductor type used in fixed installations, connecting conductors, electric cables and cords. BEST MODE OF CARRYING OUT
According to the invention the conductor is made up of several thin metal wires 1 (copper, aluminium, steel), and has the role to conduct electric power with only low skin effect as a result of the small section of the wires used, each of them being coated with an insulating film 2, whose role it is to separate in a galvanic way the conducting wires and an exterior insulating coat 3 that has the role of a common insulation of conductors
Due to this kind of construction, the metal wires of each conductor are parallel connected and through them there flow currents in the same direction, thus obtaining a low skin effect of the wires that are surrounded by other wires This effect is reduced in the interior too, as the current is repressed towards the centre of the section of these wires, due to the proximity effect that comes into force among the wires
For other uses this conductor may be manufactured without any exterior insulating coating of the twisted wires, e g for windings and for aeπal electric lines
The electroinsulating film that covers each of the metal wires that make up the electrical conductor shall be as thin as technologically possible and shall be made of enamel coatings, metal oxides or other electroinsulating materials that can be used in forming films and that are able to create a galvanic separation, according to the requirements of the future use of each category of conductors
The diameter of metal wires will, too, be as small as possible and shall be chosen according to the range in specific conditions that are required by standard norms for each category of conductors
When coming into use (in panels, derivations, at the poles of machines and apparatus) the insulating coat of the metal wires will be removed either by scrubbing or chemically thus making the parallel link of wires of each electric: conductor.
INDUSTRIAL APPLICABILITY
The electrical power conductor shown in this invention is to be manufactured by technologies known in the art and in use for coating wires with insulating films (enamel coatings, oxides), as well as with exterior coatings (PVC. rubber, polyethylene) and for wrapping conductor wires on machinery already used in manufacturing multiple wire conductors
This kind of conductor can be used with AC at low frequency and CC both al low or high tension

Electrical power conductor with low skin effect for high current with low frequency, characterized in, that it is made of several thin metal wires (1) each of them being coated with an insulating film (2), the said metal wires being parallel connected for each conductor and connected between them at the end of the linking points, at poles
AMENDED SHEET (ARTICLE |9)
STATEMENT UNDER ARTICLE 19
By the international search report I was given the patent number DE3530032A1/ 26.02.87. The invention has as its object electric conductors that are used with medium and high frequencies. I proposed in the description of the invention that is part of the PCT/RO 96/00013 documentation an electrical conductor that has its field of application low frequencies, so that I consider it necessary to complete my claim with this adjustment in order to avoid any possible confusion.
Making this adjustment I respect the unity of the invention, as in the description of the invention I referred to the fact that it treats a conductor used in the transport and distribution of electrical energy. The transport and distribution of electrical energy is realized with low frequency.
In fact, this technical solution, that I propose to be patented by the above said documentation, has as its base the observation I obtained through experiments that the skin effect shows very strongly with low frequency, too and with conductors of large sections through which intense currents flow.
