Abstract

L'invention porte sur de nouveaux polymères et copolymères greffés de poly(oxyde d'éthylène) et leurs procédés de préparation et de purification. Il s'agit de copolymères greffés d'un polymère squelette comprenant du poly(méthylstyrène) et des polymères à chaîne latérale de poly(oxyde d'éthylène). Lesdits copolymères greffés peuvent comporter jusqu'à trois chaînes de poly(oxyde d'éthylène) par unité de méthylstyrène dans le squelette. Les chaînes de poly(oxyde d'éthylène) sont fixées au polymère squelette par un groupe de liaison 1,3-dioxyprop-2-yle. Les polymères objets de l'invention sont obtenus par réaction de nucléophile de 1,3-dicarbonyle avec un polymère squelette comportant un groupe partant et par des modifications subséquentes. Le procédé de purification consiste à traiter les polymères à l'aide d'un solvant polaire protique.
