Definitions
- the invention relates to a handgun consisting of a handle, a barrel, a trigger device with a trigger and a trigger safety device.
- These can be handguns with the ability to switch between series fires and submachine guns with single action, double action, double action only trigger types, also in a partially spanned modification. With weapons of this type, quick and easy operation with the greatest possible security is particularly important.
- the securing of the trigger mechanism or of the trigger linkage is located on the side of the rear part of the handle or generally not in the area of the trigger and usually only on one side. This is detrimental to the quick and easy operation.
- a safety device for rifles which acts on the firing pin, on the lock and also on the trigger.
- vertically movable securing elements are arranged above the trigger device. Because of the multiple function, however, it is a device consisting of many parts and correspondingly susceptible to failure, which, because of the required height and the trigger device typical there, is only suitable for rifles. With handguns, too large a distance between the handle and barrel axis causes the weapon to tip up. From WO 95/16179 a pistol with a trigger safety device is known which has a vertically guided element.
- the arrangement of the securing element in front of the trigger guard is impractical, since it is precisely this area that serves as a support for the support hand when shooting with both hands.
- the result would be an unintentional securing.
- unlocking by pushing forward cannot be done with the trigger finger, but only by reaching around the weapon.
- this trigger protection is detrimental to quick and easy operation and leads to incorrect operation.
- it should be equally good for left-handed and right-handed shooters and can be operated with as few movements as possible and should also be good in the hand when shooting.
- the trigger lock is formed by a locking element which is essentially vertically movable in the handle above the trigger device, which locking element:
- c) has lateral projections which are accessible from the outside in both positions, and d) is held in the secured and in the unsecured position by a spring-loaded locking device relative to the handle.
- the overall height required for the securing element is only small, so that the vertical distance between the chutes and the extraction device is sufficient. Due to its arrangement above the trigger device, it can act directly on the trigger by means of the hook, regardless of whether it is designed as a horizontally movable slide or as a "tongue". This makes the device particularly simple, hence cheap and reliable.
- the part of the security element that protrudes before the trigger not only shows the security status visibly and palpably, it also fulfills all ergonomic requirements and allows safe and fast operation. It is secured by simply exerting upward pressure on the trigger finger on the lower part of the securing element, whether this extends downwards or on both sides into the vicinity of the trigger, immediately afterwards the same finger can operate the trigger in a obviously different direction of movement.
- the lateral projections accessible from the outside in both positions make it possible to secure the weapon again with one of the two hands.
- the spring-loaded locking ensures that the desired position is completely taken up.
- the securing element can be displaceable in a straight line in a vertical guide. It is preferably rockable like a rocker about an axis arranged transversely to the firing direction (claim 2). Because of the small stroke required, the change in angle is not perceived, but benefits are gained from the smooth running of a swivel bearing.
- the lower part of the securing element can protrude from the handle on both sides, preferably it protrudes in the secured one Position before the deduction downwards (claim 3).
- the spring-loaded locking device can be accommodated both in the handle and in the securing element.
- it consists of a bolt which is guided essentially horizontally in the securing element and which engages in a recess in the handle piece in the secured and in the unsecured position (claim 4). This means that no installation space is required at all.
- the handle piece can have upper and lower stops which cooperate in the two positions with the lateral projections of the securing element (claim 5).
- the lateral projections can then simultaneously form the lower part of the securing element, which is visible from the outside and is accessible for unlocking.
- the securing element can be swiveled like a rocker, ease of use benefits if the lower part of the securing element drops from the front to the back towards the trigger (claim 6). The trigger finger then slides to a certain extent over the securing element.
- the lower part of the securing element is curved in the form of a shell, is open at the bottom, and its edges, facing the barrel mouth and the trigger, extend tapering at the edge into the trigger area (claim 7) or, if the lower part of the securing element is bowl-shaped, arched open downwards and rounded on the edge close to the barrel mouth and the edge close to the trigger extends tapering into the trigger area 8th).
- the trigger finger easily finds the optimal position for unlocking.
- the entire trigger device is inclined downwards relative to the firing direction (claim 9).

- the securing element 8 is raised so far that the hook 9 releases the catch 11 and the bolt 18 m engages the recess 20.
- FIG. 3 only the securing element 8 'is shown in a modification. Instead of the lower part 12 (FIG. 1) sloping towards the trigger, a shell 30 is provided, into which the trigger finger of the shooter easily finds its way. It ends with a sharp-edged edge 31 at the front and rear.
- the securing element 8 ′′ has a somewhat differently shaped shell 40 which merges into a rounded portion 41 at the front and has a sharp-edged edge 42 at the rear.
- FIG. 5 shows an embodiment in which a securing element 50 can be pivoted about an axis 51 arranged transversely to the firing direction. Because of the elongated shape of the securing element 50 and the small required stroke, there is also an approximately vertical movement.

- the recess 53 corresponds to the secured state of the weapon.
- the bolt 54 ensures that the securing element 50 is only in one of the two recesses and cannot assume an intermediate position.
- Stops 57, 58 are assigned to the lateral projections 56, which also serve to secure the weapon and are accessible from the outside, which are not parallel according to the pivoting movement.
- FIG. 6 shows a further variant in which the handle is shaped in such a way that there is an angle 68 of approximately 15 to 25 degrees between the firing direction 61 and the pulling direction 66.
- a trigger 62 is formed here as a classic "tongue".
- the handle 60 is shaped so that the trigger device consisting of trigger 62 and trigger guard 63 is inclined downward by angle 68.
- the handle 60 also has a palm recess 64 and a middle finger recess 65, which also point downwards. This design allows the weapon to be held casually with the trigger finger pointing slightly downwards and also reduces the height distance between the palm rest and the barrel axis, not shown. This prevents the weapon from striking upwards when firing.

Abstract
Description
FAUSTFEUERWAFFE MIT ABZUGSSICHERUNG FIREARMS WITH DUCT LOCK
The invention relates to a handgun consisting of a handle, a barrel, a trigger device with a trigger and a trigger safety device. These can be handguns with the ability to switch between series fires and submachine guns with single action, double action, double action only trigger types, also in a partially spanned modification. With weapons of this type, quick and easy operation with the greatest possible security is particularly important.
In the case of handguns of this type known from practice, the securing of the trigger mechanism or of the trigger linkage is located on the side of the rear part of the handle or generally not in the area of the trigger and usually only on one side. This is detrimental to the quick and easy operation.
From US 4,471,551 A a safety device for rifles is known which acts on the firing pin, on the lock and also on the trigger. In this case, vertically movable securing elements are arranged above the trigger device. Apart from the kinematically only indirect interaction of the securing and the trigger, the arrangement of the securing element in front of the trigger guard is impractical, since it is precisely this area that serves as a support for the support hand when shooting with both hands. In the case of a two-handed attack, the result would be an unintentional securing. For ergonomic reasons, unlocking by pushing forward cannot be done with the trigger finger, but only by reaching around the weapon. In addition, it is not possible to insert the weapon into a holster when it is unlocked, since it would be secured again when it was inserted. Thus, this trigger protection is detrimental to quick and easy operation and leads to incorrect operation.
It is therefore the aim of the invention to propose a simple, reliable and ergonomically correct trigger safeguard. In particular, it should be equally good for left-handed and right-handed shooters and can be operated with as few movements as possible and should also be good in the hand when shooting.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that the trigger lock is formed by a locking element which is essentially vertically movable in the handle above the trigger device, which locking element:
a) unten einen in gesicherter Stellung mit einer Rast des Abzuges zusammenwirkenden Haken aufweist,a) below has a hook interacting in a secured position with a catch of the trigger,
b) in gesicherter Stellung sichtbar vor dem Abzug aus dem Griffstück herausragt,b) visibly protrudes from the handle in front of the trigger in the secured position,
c) seitliche Vorsprünge aufweist, welche in beiden Stellun- gen von außen zugänglich sind, und d) in der gesicherten und in der ungesicherten Stellung von einer federbelasteten Arretierung gegenüber dem Griff¬ stück gehalten wird.c) has lateral projections which are accessible from the outside in both positions, and d) is held in the secured and in the unsecured position by a spring-loaded locking device relative to the handle.
Due to its mode of operation and the resulting shape, the overall height required for the securing element is only small, so that the vertical distance between the chutes and the extraction device is sufficient. Due to its arrangement above the trigger device, it can act directly on the trigger by means of the hook, regardless of whether it is designed as a horizontally movable slide or as a "tongue". This makes the device particularly simple, hence cheap and reliable.
The part of the security element that protrudes before the trigger not only shows the security status visibly and palpably, it also fulfills all ergonomic requirements and allows safe and fast operation. It is secured by simply exerting upward pressure on the trigger finger on the lower part of the securing element, whether this extends downwards or on both sides into the vicinity of the trigger, immediately afterwards the same finger can operate the trigger in a obviously different direction of movement. The lateral projections accessible from the outside in both positions make it possible to secure the weapon again with one of the two hands. The spring-loaded locking ensures that the desired position is completely taken up.
The securing element can be displaceable in a straight line in a vertical guide. It is preferably rockable like a rocker about an axis arranged transversely to the firing direction (claim 2). Because of the small stroke required, the change in angle is not perceived, but benefits are gained from the smooth running of a swivel bearing.
The lower part of the securing element can protrude from the handle on both sides, preferably it protrudes in the secured one Position before the deduction downwards (claim 3). As a result, when the trigger finger is put on, the shooter feels immediately that the weapon is still secured and there is a particularly short operating distance.
The spring-loaded locking device can be accommodated both in the handle and in the securing element. In a preferred embodiment, it consists of a bolt which is guided essentially horizontally in the securing element and which engages in a recess in the handle piece in the secured and in the unsecured position (claim 4). This means that no installation space is required at all.
In a further development of the invention, the handle piece can have upper and lower stops which cooperate in the two positions with the lateral projections of the securing element (claim 5). The lateral projections can then simultaneously form the lower part of the securing element, which is visible from the outside and is accessible for unlocking.
If the securing element can be swiveled like a rocker, ease of use benefits if the lower part of the securing element drops from the front to the back towards the trigger (claim 6). The trigger finger then slides to a certain extent over the securing element.
In the case of a vertically displaceable securing element, it is ergonomically advantageous if the lower part of the securing element is curved in the form of a shell, is open at the bottom, and its edges, facing the barrel mouth and the trigger, extend tapering at the edge into the trigger area (claim 7) or, if the lower part of the securing element is bowl-shaped, arched open downwards and rounded on the edge close to the barrel mouth and the edge close to the trigger extends tapering into the trigger area 8th). As a result, the trigger finger easily finds the optimal position for unlocking.
In a particularly advantageous development, the entire trigger device, including trigger guard, is inclined downwards relative to the firing direction (claim 9). As a result, not only is the horizontal distance between the barrel chute and the trigger device further reduced, which counteracts an upward firing of the weapon when firing, but also the shooter's natural hand position is taken into account ergonomically, the index finger of the loose shot height hand is pointing slightly downwards.
Es stellen dar:The invention is described and explained below with the aid of illustrations. They represent:

In Figure 1, the handle is designated 1. On it in a known manner, a barrel chute 2 is slidably guided. On the underside of the handle 1 in the middle, a trigger device 3 is provided and, via this, a trigger guard generally designated 4. For this trigger protection 4, a vertical shaft 5 is provided in the interior of the handle 1. A trigger guard 6 is part of the handle piece.
The trigger safety device 4 consists essentially of only one safety element 8. This has in its lower rear Share an extension that forms a hook 9. In the secured position shown, this hook 9 engages in a catch 11 of the trigger 10, which here is a horizontally guided slide. In front of the hook 9, the securing element 8 forms a lower part 12, which may be colored red and which, in the secured position shown, protrudes visibly into the trigger area 13. However, it can also be felt, so that the shooter can recognize the security status even in the dark.
The securing element 8 is further provided with lateral projections 15 which are accessible from the outside on both sides. For this purpose, openings not shown can be provided in the handle 1. These openings form the lower stop 16 and upper stops 17, which limit the movement of the securing element 8 in the secured and the unsecured position. In the interior of the securing element 8, a bolt 18 is guided in a bore (not designated), which is pressed outwards by a spring 19, which in the unlocked position in the recess 20 and in the secured position in the recess 21 of the handle 1 snaps.
Figur 2 zeigt dieselbe Waffe in entsicherter Stellung. Figure 2 shows the same weapon in the unlocked position. The securing element 8 is raised so far that the hook 9 releases the catch 11 and the bolt 18 m engages the recess 20.
In Figure 3, only the securing element 8 'is shown in a modification. Instead of the lower part 12 (FIG. 1) sloping towards the trigger, a shell 30 is provided, into which the trigger finger of the shooter easily finds its way. It ends with a sharp-edged edge 31 at the front and rear. In FIG. 4, the securing element 8 ″ has a somewhat differently shaped shell 40 which merges into a rounded portion 41 at the front and has a sharp-edged edge 42 at the rear. FIG. 5 shows an embodiment in which a securing element 50 can be pivoted about an axis 51 arranged transversely to the firing direction. Because of the elongated shape of the securing element 50 and the small required stroke, there is also an approximately vertical movement. The spring-loaded bolt 54 of the locking device is inserted in a bore 55 in the handle 1 and engages in recesses 52, 53 of the securing element 50. The recess 53 corresponds to the secured state of the weapon. With a suitable shape of the recesses 52, 53, the bolt 54 ensures that the securing element 50 is only in one of the two recesses and cannot assume an intermediate position. Stops 57, 58 are assigned to the lateral projections 56, which also serve to secure the weapon and are accessible from the outside, which are not parallel according to the pivoting movement.
Dadurch kann die Waffe beim Schießen nicht aufwärts schlagen.FIG. 6 shows a further variant in which the handle is shaped in such a way that there is an angle 68 of approximately 15 to 25 degrees between the firing direction 61 and the pulling direction 66. A trigger 62 is formed here as a classic "tongue". It can be seen that the handle 60 is shaped so that the trigger device consisting of trigger 62 and trigger guard 63 is inclined downward by angle 68. Correspondingly, the handle 60 also has a palm recess 64 and a middle finger recess 65, which also point downwards. This design allows the weapon to be held casually with the trigger finger pointing slightly downwards and also reduces the height distance between the palm rest and the barrel axis, not shown. This prevents the weapon from striking upwards when firing.
All in all, this creates a simple and reliable trigger safeguard and also takes account of all ergonomic requirements.
