Abstract
The system according to the present invention, for framing, bordering and/or external or internal finishing of panels, paintings, boxes and handworks provided with corners, provides the realization of a frame obtained out of a roll of smooth or corrugated cardboard or of other soft materials, with variable width, length and shape, printed like wood, leather, stone, cork, laquered or with phantasy patterns or of other kind, with flexo-system, offset or 'roto', direct or coupled with application of a shining or opaque layer or treated with UV-polish or with water, for the realization of means for framing in automatic line or for supplying a bi-adhesive roll, complete with punch for the angular cuts, for the 'do-it-yourself'.
Description
FRAMING SYSTEM FOR PANELS, PAINTINGS, OR THE LIKE.
The present invention concerns an original system for realizing the f raming, the bordering and/or the external or internal finishing of panels , paintings , boxes , covers , planes or any other handwork provided with corners and not round .
It is known that in commercial and f air exhibitions panels are prepared describing the realized and exhibited products , whereby said panels must be continuously amended with the new productions, and therefore replaced.
Consequently, all components of said panels should be as cheap as possible , maintaining their aesthetic validity.
In such cases it is evident that the adoption of conventional frames , cut speci ally for the different panel kinds , involves a considerable increase of the costs.
A similar difficulty is met when paintings, posters and si-milar are to framed with the help of specialized artisans, as there does not exist a practical, easy and cheap system for "do-it- yourself" .
It is the aim- of the present invention to solve all above mentioned needs with a system for framing that may be realized in an automatic line for specialized workers but also, and mostly, for private users for the independent realization, in very short time, of frames, borders and finishing of any handwork provided with corners.
The aim set forth is reached by means of the system according to the present invention, comprising a frame obtained out of a roll of smooth or corrugated cardboard or of other soft materials, with variable width, length and shape, printed like wood, leather, stone, cork, laquered or with phantasy patterns or of other kind, with flexo-system, offset or "roto", direct or coupled with application of a shining or opaque layer or treated with UV-polish or with water, for the realization of means for framing in automatic line or for supplying a bi-adhesive roll, complete with
punch for the angular cuts, for the "do-it- yourself" .
The advantages of the system according to the present invention are many and considerable:
- cheapness: the frames realized with the system according to the present invention are extremely cheap;
- aesthetic validity: the effect of the printing on the surface, at sight, allows the simulation of any material, also valuable and with phantasy patterns;
- quick realization: in the automatic line as well as in the "do-it- yourself" line, the complete realization of a frame takes a very quick time;
- easy realization: the system according to the present invention may be used also without particular knowledges and specializations;
- ecology: the frame is obtained out of a roll preferably realized with recycled materials which therefore are completely degradable.
The present invention will be explained more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings in which an embodiment is shown.
Figure 1 shows an axonometric view of a cardboard element - or of any other soft material - obtained by a roll, for the realization of the system according to the present invention.
Figures 2, 3, 4 shows the following folding phases along the traced lines, and of the cutting, at the end of the realization, of a part of a frame.
Figure 5 shows a part of a frame obtained by means of the system according to the present invention, closed for assemblying.
Figure 6 shows a process for the installation of the frame on a panel or painting or similar.
Figure 7 shows an axonometric view of a cardboard roll of the kind to be distributed in blister packing for the "do-it-yourself " .
The enclosed figures show a system for framing, bordering and/or external or internal finishing of panels P , paintings , oxes and , in general , handworks provided with corners , f or the realization of a product for framing in automatic line or for the "do-it-yourself " , comprising : - a plane element 1 obtained by a roll of smooth or corrugated cardboard or other soft materials , provided with parallel punches 2 for determining the folding of the lateral edges 3 , and with parallel internal punches 4 for the vertical lifting of the already folded edges , so as to realize an internal channel 5 that comprises the thickness of the panel or painting P to be framed; the location of vert ic al c ut s 6 in correspondence with the corners of the panel to be framed, that may be realized in automatic line or by means of a punch for corners , in the "do-it-yourself " ;
- the realization of the angulation 7;
- the placing of bi-adhesives for the closing;
- the internal assembling of panels P or paintings or similar;
- the printeed simulation on the outside of the element l , showing like wood, leather , stone , cork or phantasy.
In the variant shown in figure 7 , element l is realized in the shape of a roll 8 , made bi- adhesive in a blister packing and complete with corner punch for the "do-it-yourself " .
Claims
1. A system for framing, bordering and/or internal or external finishing of panels, paintings, boxes and handworks provided with corners, and the derived product, characterized in:
- a plane element (1) obtained by a roll of smooth or corrugated cardboard or other soft materials, provided with parallel punches (2) for determining the folding of the lateral edges (3), and with parallel internal punches (4) for the vertical lifting of the already folded edges, so as to realize an internal channel (5) that comprises the thickness of the panel or painting (P) to be framed; the location of vertical cuts (6) in correspondence with the corners of the panel to be framed, that may be realized in automatic line or by means of a punch for corners, in the "do-it-yourself" ;
- the realization of the angulation (7);
- the placing of bi-adhesives for the closing;
- the internal assembling of panels (P) or paintings or similar;
- the printed simulation on the outside of the element (1), showing like wood, leather, stone, cork or phantasy.
2. A system and the product derived therefrom' according to claim 1, characterized in that element (1) may be realized also in the shape of a roll (8), made bi-adhesive in a blister packing, complete with a corner punch for the "do-it- yourself".
