Abstract

Beschrieben wird ein polymerer Festkörperelektrolyt mit einem hydrophoben Rückgrat, das zumindest teilweise durch ionische Gruppen funktionalisiert ist. Ferner wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung des erfindungsgemäßen Polymers sowie eine bevorzugte Verwendung beschrieben. Die Erfindung zeichnet sich dadurch aus, daß das Rückgrat des Polymers ein Copoly(m-phenylen) aufweist, das wenigstens 20 Mol-% m-Phenylen-Einheiten enthält und von Struktur (a) ist, wobei R1 bis R8 Wasserstoff, Aryl, Oxyaryl, Thioaryl, Sulfonaryl, Carbonylaryl, Oxyaryloxyaryl, Hydroxyl oder ionisch dissoziierbare Gruppen sind.
