Gas premix burners according to the preamble of claim 1 are known from DE-GM 70 37 072 and DE-AS 10 09 126. The wire mesh has a constant mesh width over its entire extent. In DE-AS 10 09 126 the apex area of the wire mesh opposite the outlet opening of the gas pipe is covered by a disk.
Flow channel for the main outlet opening of the gas is arranged behind the inlet nozzle of the gas in the mixing space so that this flow channel is mainly fed with pure fuel gas. The burner plate surrounding this main flow channel is provided with a large number of small gas passage openings surrounding the main outlet opening, which give rise to a ring of small ionization flames in which the sensor electrode of an ionization flame detector is immersed.
With the invention, a premix gas pilot burner is to be created which is inexpensive to manufacture and which can produce a stable flame even with fluctuating gas pressure. This succeeds with the invention characterized in claim 1. A dome-shaped or paraboloid-shaped wire mesh can be produced in a simple manner by deforming a flat wire mesh with a constant mesh size over a mandrel. It can be fastened in a sleeve that can be screwed or plugged onto the burner mouth. Such a production of the wire mesh also has the advantage that the mesh size of the mesh is larger in the apex area of the curvature than in the edge areas of the curved wire mesh.
The result of the different mesh size which is inevitably formed when the grille is deformed is that rings of passage openings are formed from the apex of the nozzle to the edge and have an increasingly smaller opening cross-section towards the edge. The diameter of these openings determines the ignition behavior of the flame as a function of the mixture pressure and the mixture composition. There will always be an opening size that is optimally adapted to the respective mixture or the respective mixture pressure.
It has been shown that a particularly stable pilot flame is formed in this way. This is because the grid leads to the creation of a large number of small flames which form a ring of holding flames close to one another around the main flame. They interact and increase the stability of the pilot burner. When the mixture composition or pressure changes, the ring of holding flames moves up and down the grille. But there is always a wreath of well-burning holding flames, which supports the main flame or ignites it again. The openings, which are getting smaller and smaller towards the edge, ensure a large number of stable holding flames, which overall contributes to stabilizing the flame.
Dabei zeigtAt the same time, the grid creates a larger ground area for a flame sensor that works on the flame ionization principle and thus a stronger flame flow. The counter electrode faces the mixture outlet opening and can optionally also be used as an ignition electrode. In another embodiment, a separate ignition electrode is directed laterally onto the curved wire mesh. Advantageous refinements of the invention result from the subclaims. The invention is explained below using an exemplary embodiment shown in the drawing. It shows
Fig. 1 eine seitliche Ansicht einer Zündbrenneranordnung mit Flammenelektrode und gesonderter Zündelektrode;Figure 1 is a side view of a pilot burner assembly with flame electrode and separate ignition electrode.

Über dem Brennermundstück 8 wölbt sich ein Drahtgitter 9, welches die Form einer Kuppel oder angenähert einesA pilot burner 2 of essentially cylindrical shape and a flame sensor electrode 3 and an ignition electrode 4, which are electrically insulated from the carrier 1, are held in a common carrier 1. Gas is supplied to the pilot burner 2 via an axial gas feed line 5, while combustion air is sucked in radially through a dirt filter 6. Within the hexagon socket 7 there is a nozzle for accelerating the flow, as is known per se. A wire mesh 9, which has the shape of a dome or approximately one, arches over the burner mouthpiece 8
Has paraboloids. It is made from a flat wire mesh with a constant mesh size by deforming it into a dome-shaped shape over a correspondingly shaped mandrel. At the same time, the mesh size in the apex region 10 of the grille is larger than in the edge region 11 thereof. The wire grate deformed in this way is held by a sleeve 8 which is screwed onto the outlet opening of the burner tube 2 or is attached by a snap connection. Instead of a separate ignition electrode 4, the flame sensor electrode 3 can also serve as an ignition electrode for forming the ignition sparks when the burner is started. The ground area enlarged by the grid 9 leads to an increased ionization current between the burner 2 and the sensor electrode 3, as a result of which the operation of the flame sensor is improved. The new pilot burner is characterized by low manufacturing costs because the additional lateral outlet openings, which are often required in known pilot burners, are eliminated and it is composed of automatically produced turned parts and can also be assembled automatically.
