Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de polir du verre au feu à l'aide d'une flamme de gaz combustible/oxygène, qui se caractérise en ce que le gaz combustible contient entre 10 et 50 % en volume d'acétylène. Ce gaz combustible peut être obtenu par mélange de gaz combustible classique, sensiblement exempt d'acétylène, avec de l'acétylène. Un dispositif permettant de mettre ledit procédé en ÷uvre, comporte un brûleur en amont des ajutages duquel est monté un dispositif mélangeur, alimenté par des prises de gaz combustible et d'acétylène séparées.
