Ce procédé consiste tout d'abord à enduire au moins une partie de la tige d'une chaussure en cuir, matériaux synthétique ou en tissu, avec une composition de résine qui durcit aux ultraviolets, ladite composition ayant une fonctionnalité suffisante pour être polymérisée et durcir jusqu'à un état thermodurci, mais n'ayant pas une fonctionnalité suffisante pour être polymérisée au point de fragiliser ladite résine une fois durcie, et à exposer ensuite ce revêtement à un rayonnement ultraviolet suffisant pour le durcir.
