Abstract

Un répondeur passif peut être codé avec un nombre ou un code atteignant 64 bits, puis associé à ou monté sur pratiquement n'importe quel implant tissulaire vivant destiné à l'homme. Après implantation, le code du répondeur peut être aisément lu à l'aide d'un lecteur électromagnétique portatif qu'il suffit simplement d'approcher de ce répondeur. Le répondeur codé peut ainsi être lu de manière non invasive et sans recourir à des techniques ou à des équipements médicaux sophistiqués ou potentiellement nocifs tels que la radiographie. Les informations codées dans le répondeur peuvent correspondre aux données démographiques du patient et aux données relatives à l'implant en vue de faciliter le suivi de son évolution et peuvent être utilisées pour des raisons médicales ainsi que juridiques. Le tissu vivant peut être un organe vivant provenant d'un donneur et transplanté à un patient receveur.
