Damit die Fahrgäste in der Ruhestellung des Rotors den einzelnen Sitz bequem zu Fuß erreichen können, wird im Sinne des Anspruches 2 vorgeschlagen, das einzelne Podest zum Besteigen der Sitze aus dem Berührungsbereich der Fahrgastfüße relativ zu verstellen, sobald der Fahrgastträger zu rotieren beginnt. Dadurch wird vermieden, daß die freihängenden Füße des Fahrgastes am Podest anstoßen können. Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten, diese Berührungsfreiheit vom Podest zu erreichen. Am einfachsten ist es, das Podest als Hebebühne auszubilden und das Podest abzusenken, sobald die Rotation des Rotors beginnt. Es ist aber auch möglich, die Achse des Rotors höhenverstellbar anzuordnen oder die Länge der Speichen des Fahrgastträgers zu verändern.
