Abstract

La présente invention concerne le forage d'un trou dans le sol ou de la roche au moyen d'un outil de forage mû par un marteau piqueur. Ce procédé et ce marteau piqueur mettent en ÷uvre le marteau piqueur de façon à forer, en l'occurrence, au moyen d'un burin minier de grand diamètre (23). Selon ce procédé, une pièce retenant la fixation du burin minier, par exemple une boîte guide (22), se fixe sur le carter du marteau piqueur. Le diamètre de la partie de retenue de la boîte est sensiblement plus grand que le diamètre de la face de contact de percussion de la fixation. En effet, ou bien les dimensions de la boîte guide sont telles que cette dernière peut se fixer facilement sur la surface externe du carter du marteau piqueur, ou bien la boîte guide constitue une extension du carter, mais avec des dimensions plus importantes.
