Abstract

L'invention concerne une émulsion photographique sensible aux radiations, contenant un véhicule gélatineux et des grains tabulaires représentant au moins 70 % de la surface totale projetée de grains, comprenant au moins 90 % en moles de bromure et jusqu'à 12 % en moles d'iodure, par rapport à la totalité de l'argent. Cette émulsion présente des faces principales {111} formant des coins reliés par des arêtes linéaires, ainsi que des dislocations de la conversion d'halogénure limitées aux zones des coins. On peut obtenir une amélioration des performances et de la conversion d'halogénure sur des sites sélectionnés, en maintenant un pBr inférieur à 3,5 et en employant, pour la conversion d'halogénure, une source d'ion d'iodure présentant une constante de vitesse de réaction du deuxième ordre, avec le véhicule gélatineux, inférieure à 10?-3 mole-1 sec-1¿.
