Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé d'orientation et d'ajustement de l'orientation d'une tête de foret (12) d'un appareil de forage de tunnels ou de trous. Ce procédé consiste à utiliser un faisceau laser ou similaire projeté sur la tête de foret depuis le point de départ du tunnel pour détecter la position de la tête du foret, un équipement à ouverture libre étant utilisé pour le forage entre le point de départ et la tête de foret. Le faisceau laser arrive dans la tête de foret à cible rotative (13) dont la position de rotation est détectée au moins dans une position angulaire de rotation au moyen d'un détecteur de position angulaire (25), et les informations relatives à la déviation reçues au niveau de ladite position angulaire provenant de la cible (13) et détectées par un organe de mesure (14) sont transmises aux dispositifs d'orientation (19, 20) de la tête de foret de sorte que la position des moyens de support de la tête (22, 24) soit modifiée par rapport au tube externe (23).
