La présente invention concerne un dispositif pour la réalisation d'une caisse à partir d'un flan de matière en feuille comportant une suite de volets rectangulaires reliés les uns aux autres par des premières lignes de pliage parallèles les unes aux autres, comprenant un volet intermédiaire, et un premier ensemble de rabats latéraux disposés d'un côté de ladite suite de volets, reliés à celle-ci par des secondes lignes de pliage perpendiculaires aux premières lignes de pliage et destinés à former au moins partiellement le fond de la caisse, le dispositif étant du type comportant des moyens de stockage de flans en piles, un mandrin de prépliage disposé sur la sortie des moyens de stockage, des moyens d'encollage et de moyens de transfert du flan ainsi préplié vers un mandrin de pliage définitif.
