Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for producing with a bulk material, preferably with snippets consisting of cardboard etc., filled bags with a filling nozzle arranged with an approximately vertical axis, which can be loaded with snips from above, preferably by means of an upstream metering device, and of which a tubular casing can be pulled downwards, from which bags can be separated by means of a separating and closing device.
A device of this type is known from WO 90/08 709. In this known arrangement, the filler neck is preceded by a chamber which can be closed by a flap. When the flap is open, the snippets fall into the filler neck due to the force of gravity. As a result of the low weight of the chips, undesirably long sinking times can result. This disadvantage then comes into play to an even greater extent if, as in the known arrangement as a result of the production of the tubular casing Winding sleeve, a comparatively large length of the filler neck is required. In the known arrangement there are therefore comparatively long filling times and thus long cycle times, which has an unfavorable effect on the economics that can be achieved.
Proceeding from this, it is therefore the object of the present invention to improve a device of the type mentioned at the beginning with simple and inexpensive means in such a way that high hourly outputs are achieved.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the filling nozzle can be loaded with chips by means of a centrifugal device which is arranged in the region of its upper end and can be loaded with chips and accelerates it.
Here, the chips are thrown into the filler neck at high speed. This results in comparatively short sinking times and thus correspondingly short filling times. The measures according to the invention therefore make it possible to maintain comparatively short cycle times, which ensures high hourly output and thus high economic efficiency. Advantageous refinements and appropriate further training of the higher-level measures are specified in the subclaims. For example, the centrifugal device can advantageously have a step-by-step rotor which is arranged with an axis of rotation extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the filler neck, is provided with at least one, preferably two diametrically opposite, circumferentially arranged buckets and which overlaps the filler neck in the region of its downwardly moving peripheral half and engages under a chip feed device in the region of its circumferentially moving half. The rotor, which can be driven step-by-step, advantageously enables high chipping acceleration and nevertheless ensures a compact design. As a result, the cup double arrangement, the snippets supply and delivery snippets are each run simultaneously, so that even with a comparatively short cycle times for the 'above transactions comparatively much time is available, ensuring a trouble-free, precise operation.
A further advantageous measure can consist in the fact that each cup with its inner boundary connects to a wall which projects beyond the open cup rim and is approximately vertical in the rest positions of the cup. This advantageously forms a Guide surface for the snippets that are fed into the cup and ejected from the cup.
In a further development of the higher-level measures, the feed device assigned to the rotor can be designed as a metering device, expediently in the form of a chamber conveyor which can be driven by the rotor. These measures allow a simple metering of the volume of the chips supplied to the filler neck.
The rotor can advantageously be arranged in a drum housing which has two diametrically opposite openings which are open at the bottom or at the top and are assigned to the filler neck or the feed device. The drum advantageously not only provides access protection and thus ensures reliable accident protection, but also advantageously forms a cover and guide surface assigned to the cups on their path between the two rest positions.
A further, particularly preferred measure can consist in the fact that a web can be fed to the lower region of the filling nozzle, which web can be deformed by means of a longitudinal folding device to form a tube comprising the filling nozzle. These measures allow in advantageously the use of a comparatively short filler neck, which has an advantageous effect on achieving short sinking times of the chip material.
Further advantageous refinements and expedient further training of the superordinate measures can be found in the remaining subclaims and the example description below.
A preferred exemplary embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. The single figure of the drawing shows a schematic side view of a device according to the invention, partly in section.
The device shown in the drawing is used to produce bags 1 which are filled with snippets 2 made of cardboard or the like. Bags of this type can be used, for example, to cushion sensitive shipping goods. To form the bag 1, an endless tube 3 is first formed, into which the snippets 2 are introduced in portions and which is then divided into sections by means of a separating device 4. Before the cut or simultaneously with the cut, the locking device 5 is used on both sides of the Cut line made a closure. In this way, the bag 1, which can be separated by means of the separating device 4, is closed at the top and the newly produced tube beginning is closed at the bottom.
A material web 6, expediently a paper web, is used to form the tube 3, which is formed into a tube 3 by means of a longitudinal folding device 7. In the example shown, the longitudinal folding device 7 contains a roller 8, preferably tapered in the center, over which the web 6 is guided and which is followed by a folding nose engaging in the web 6, around which the lateral edges of the web 6 are turned so that they form a longitudinal seam 9 can be connected. For this purpose, a longitudinal seam forming device 10 is provided. A transport device 11, here a pair of rollers, is provided for transporting the hose 3.
A tubular filler 12 protrudes into the upwardly open opening of the hose 3 formed by the longitudinal folding device 7, the lower end of which in the example shown also functions as a folding nose 13. Through the filler neck 12, which is open at the top and bottom, the snippets 2 thrown into it at the top are introduced into the hose 3. The snippets 2 are flung through the filler neck 2 at high speed, so that despite the small amount specific weight of the snippets 2 a high sinking speed is reached.
For this purpose, the filler neck 12 can be loaded with the chips 2 by means of a centrifugal device 14 which in turn can be loaded with chips. The centrifugal device 14 contains a rotor 15 which is arranged transversely to the vertical axis of the filler neck 3 and consists of a central shaft 16 which carries two diametrically opposed segments 17, each of which contains a cup 18 which is open in the circumferential direction at its radially outer end . The segments 17 are closed inwards by a wall 19 parallel to the tangent to which the respectively associated cup 18 is connected so that the wall 19 projects beyond the cup opening 20.
The rotor 15 is arranged in a drum housing 21 which has two diametrically opposed, tangential openings 22, 23, of which the opening 22 which is open at the top engages under a snippet feed device 24. The filler neck 12 connects to the opening 23 which is open at the bottom. This is provided with an engagement window 25 which is open on the rotor side and through which the rotor 15 with its outer periphery formed by the cups 18 is passed. The rotor 15 is, as indicated by the movement arrow 26, rotatable so that its upwardly moving peripheral half in the area of the open, the Feed device 24 associated opening of the drum housing 21 and its downwardly moving peripheral half in the region of the downwardly open, the filler neck 12 associated opening 23 of the drum housing 21.
In the example shown, the feed device 24 is designed as a chamber conveyor, the chambers 27 of which each contain a portion of chips which has a fixed predetermined volume and which is tipped into the cup 18 located underneath. During this loading, the rotor 15 is at a standstill or rotates at a greatly reduced speed. The rotor 15 is then swiveled by 180 ° under strong acceleration and stopped when this position is reached or braked to a greatly reduced speed. As a result, the contents of the cup are thrown out of the cup 18, which now points downward, into the filler neck 12 at high speed, as indicated by the arrow 28.
A stepping gear designed as a cam disk gear can be provided for driving the rotor 15. The drive of the feed device 14 designed as a chamber conveyor is coupled to the drive of the rotor 15 in such a way that for every 180 "step of the rotor 15 the chamber conveyor makes a step corresponding to the length of a chamber 27, the Movement phases of rotor 15 and feed device 24 are offset from one another in such a way that there are no significant overlaps. The step time of the rotor should be less than one second, preferably about 0.6 seconds, in order to achieve a high acceleration. With a cycle time of several seconds for a bag, there are comparatively large intervals in which the feed device 24 can be activated.
If a bag filling is to comprise a plurality of chamber fillings of the chamber conveyor forming the feed device 24, it must be driven at a correspondingly higher speed. The volume of the cups 18 is appropriately such that it corresponds to the largest bag filling that occurs. It would also be conceivable to provide interchangeable cups.
