Abstract

Procédé de détourage d'images sous la forme de polygones situés en dehors d'une fenêtre d'image, comprenant les étapes consistant à assigner à chaque sommet de polygone un code hors site de Sutherland-Cohen ou équivalent, de manière qu'une paire de codes hors site destinée à deux sommets corresponde à un bord de polygone, puis à procéder de même, séparément, pour chaque paire de codes hors site afin de déterminer les sommets de tout nouveau polygone situé à l'intérieur de la fenêtre d'image. Les avantages de ce procédé résident en ce qu'on évite des calculs superflus, en particulier, toute réalisation d'intersection de bords de fenêtre contribuant à la réalisation du polygone détouré (ce qui n'est pas le cas dans tous les procédés de détourage de polygone). Des valeurs intermédiaires sont stockées et réutilisées.
