Abstract

Raquette de plage en bois composée de trois parties en bois, à savoir les deux parties externes classiques que l'on retrouve dans toutes les raquettes ordinaires et également une partie en bois supplémentaire fabriquée à partir d'un bois suédois et pressée entre les deux surfaces extérieures. La partie interne est constituée de onze petites pièces en bois de diverses dimensions, agrafées ensemble de façon à former des poches d'air dans la partie supérieure et centrale selon la description detaillée dans la demande de brevet. Les poches d'air permettent d'obtenir une raquette dont la surface est moins dure et moins rigide, étant donnée que l'impact de la balle sur sa surface est moins absorbé en raison du vide créé à l'intérieur. De plus, la raquette de plage en bois est plus résistante, son emploi est moins fatiguant et le joueur peut la manier avec plus de facilité là où il le souhaite. Les raquettes classiques qui sont réalisées en collant ensemble deux surfaces extérieures en bois ne présentent pas ces avantages.
