Abstract
On utilise des circuits mélangeurs (10) auto-oscillants dans des systèmes de communication. Les circuits comprennent un amplificateur symétrique (40) destiné à amplifier un signal ayant une première fréquence afin de produire un signal amplifié, une boucle de réaction couplée à l'amplificateur symétrique (40) afin de déphaser le signal amplifié pendant chaque demi-cycle de l'amplificateur symétrique, créant ainsi un signal de sortie oscillant, ainsi qu'un élément mélangeur (70) destiné à coupler le signal oscillant au signal ayant la première fréquence, mélangeant ainsi le signal ayant la première fréquence au signal oscillant afin de produire un signal ayant une seconde fréquence. Les circuits décrits par l'invention présentent des transistors (80, 90, 120, 130) dont le fonctionnement est proche de celui du mode de la classe B afin d'obtenir une conversion de fréquence optimale avec une consommation de puissance minimale. Ces circuits trouvent par conséquent application dans n'importe quel système du type communication nécessitant un convertisseur de fréquence.
