Abstract

A control mechanism for aircraft (70) having a vertically extending member (72) with a cross bar (74) attached to its upper end and a pair of arcuate lower members (76) extending from the cross bar (74) toward the forward end of the aircraft with an adjustable positioning arm (84) on each lower member (76) extending rearwardly and which mounts a hand grip (86) for controlling the aircraft. The mechanism includes a damping system with a frame (205) connected to the cross bar (74) with bearing elements (230).
