  • Phase B mixture is poured from the second vessel into the first vessel containing the mixed ingredients of Phase A.
  • the first vessel is then cooled to about 40 degrees centigrade and the ingredients listed in Phase C are added to the phase A-B mixture and mixed with agitation and allowed to cool to room temperature.

  • a suitably sized mixing vessel receives the ingredients in Phase A and is heated to approximately about between 80 to 85 degrees centigrade for about between 15 minutes to 60 minutes.
  • Phase B the distilled water is heated in another vessel to about between 80 to 85 degrees centigrade and the hydroethelcellulose is added to the distilled water in the second vessel and the Phase B mixture is agitated for about between 15 minutes to 60 minutes.
  • the agitated water and hydroethelcellulose Phase B mixture in the second vessel is added to the first vessel while both mixtures are at about between 80 to 85 degrees centigrade.
  • the resultant Phase A-B mixture in the first vessel is allowed to cool to about between 40 to 45 degrees centigrade.
  • the ingredients in Phase C are added to the first vessel and mixed with continuous agitation and allowed to cool to room temperature.
  • the combination sunscreen protection and insect repellent product is ready for packaging.
  • the above practice of the invention results in a composition as shown below in Example I, with the ingredients being representative of their constituent percentages by weight percent.
  • the mixing is done in a conventional manner and the ingredients in each phase are mixed in the sequence described herein.
