Abstract

Procédé de traitement du pétrole brut lourd prévoyant une modification préliminaire d'une partie de cette matière première et/ou d'un pétrole brut lourd dont la composition est différente de la matière brute de départ devant être traitée. A cette fin, on commence par soumettre cette matière à un traitement à l'air sous une température de 200 à 300 °C et sous un rapport de masse air/matière première de 0,1-0,6 à 1; on obtient une phase gazeuse, qui est écartée, et un produit liquide qui est ensuite soumis à une distillation sous vide avec extraction d'un distillat s'évaporant avant 540 °C. Le distillat est mélangé avec le pétrole brut initial pour subir un traitement, sous une teneur en distillat de 2,0 à 25,0 % en poids du total du mélange modifié obtenu. Ce mélange modifié est soumis au craquage.
