Abstract
Description
Verfahren zur Verdampfung eines flüssigen Mediums mit variablem Mengenstrom Process for the evaporation of a liquid medium with a variable volume flow
Beschreibungdescription
The invention relates to a method for evaporation of a liquid medium with a variable flow rate, in which the medium is passed through a heat exchanger housing and the heat of vaporization is supplied to it in the heat exchanger housing by contact with heat exchanger surfaces running in the flow direction of the medium.
Es entspricht dem Stand der Technik, daß bei alsIt corresponds to the state of the art that at
Evaporator serving heat exchangers, the vaporous medium leaves the heat exchanger housing at the upper end, with the liquid medium usually being supplied at the lower end of the housing, thereby promoting the separation of the vaporous from the liquid phase.
If the evaporation takes place in the context of a method that requires a rapid change in the volume flow of the medium to be evaporated depending on control or regulating parameters, then in the known method the inflow of the liquid medium to the evaporating heat exchanger can be subjected to a delay-free quantity control which, however, only becomes noticeable at the outlet of the heat exchanger with a possibly considerable delay. The reason for this is the liquid medium collecting at the lower end of the heat exchanger housing, the amount of which fluctuates and which, when the amount of liquid medium supplied to the heat exchanger is reduced, initially delays the transition to the desired evaporation rate until a new equilibrium is found in the steam room sets.
The volume control of the medium on the steam side of the heat exchanger requires a much greater effort, because in addition to the flow control e.g.
Pressure and temperature of the vaporous medium are continuously determined and must be taken into account as control parameters.
The invention has for its object to improve a method of the type mentioned in such a way that the control of the mass flow can be carried out on the input side of the heat exchanger and is effective without delay on the output side, even if the medium supplied is not in the heat exchanger completely evaporated.
Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe besteht darin, daß das Medium das Wärmetauschergehäuse von oben nach untenThe solution to this problem is that the medium the heat exchanger housing from top to bottom
durchströmt und an der tiefsten Stelle des Wärmetau¬ schergehäuses austritt.flows through and exits at the lowest point of the heat exchanger housing.
This prevents the accumulation of non-evaporated liquid in the area of the heat exchanger, so that a quantity regulation carried out in the area of the liquid medium flowing to the heat exchanger has a delay-free effect on the medium leaving the heat exchanger.
If the heat exchanger is used to evaporate a fuel which then has to be mixed with an oxidant, an increased vapor pressure is desirable to promote the formation of the mixture. For this purpose, it is an expedient embodiment of the method that the vapor pressure is regulated by changing the outlet cross section on the heat exchanger housing.
The invention is explained in more detail on the basis of an exemplary embodiment of a heat exchanger serving as an evaporator as shown in the drawing. A heat exchanger, designated overall by 10, encloses, with a housing 12, a steam chamber 14, at the upper end of which an injection valve 16 for a liquid medium to be evaporated is used to regulate the quantity. An outflow opening 18 is located at the deepest point of the steam space 14, so that an accumulation of liquid medium in the steam space 14 is excluded.
A line 20 for a heat transfer medium traverses the steam room 14 with a supply line 22 and a return line 24, this line 20 being provided with ribs 26 in the interior of the steam room in order to provide the largest possible heated surface in the form of heat exchanger surfaces 2R create about in the flow direction of the medium in the vertical direction run. The injection valve 16 is arranged such that it injects the liquid medium from above approximately tangentially onto the heat exchanger surfaces.
The liquid medium runs down under the influence of gravity on the heat exchanger surfaces 28 and is evaporated by the absorption of heat. The steam flows downward out of the outflow opening 18 under the effect of the steam pressure which is formed, an approximately undevaporated rest of the liquid being carried away by the steam.
