Description
"A DEVICE FOR A MATHEMATICAL ABILITY GAME, WITH SMALL PANELS THAT MAY BE MOVED ON A PLANE"
The present invention concerns a device for a mathemati- cal ability game with small panels that may be moved on a plane, with the final purpose of making come out the panel with the greater surface from an opening provided on the edge of the sliding plane.
The device consists of a plurality of sliding elements, like square or rectangular panels, with surfaces corre¬ sponding to 1,2 and four units and that occupy until 18/20 of the whole surface of a rectangular sliding pla¬ ne, having a dimension corresponding to four' linear u- nits by five linear units, which is equal to twenty sur¬ face units, so that making use of that parts of the sur¬ face that are free and with a series of manual move¬ ments, tha panel having the greatest dimension - the square one having a surface corresponding to four units - is led to an opening provided on the edge of the slid¬ ing plane having the linear dimensions corresponding to two units.
In a possible variant the contact between all said pa- nels and the sliding plane is obtained magnetically, so that the movements take place only on said plane, with¬ out lifting them or jumping on spaces.
The device according to the present invention will be explained more in detail hereinbelow relating to the en¬ closed drawings in which a preferred embodiment thereof is shown.
Figure 1 shows a perspective exploded view of all ele¬ ments composing the game.
Figures 2 and 3 show the start and the end position of the panels in the three possible variants of maximum, medium and less difficulty.
The enclosedfigures show a device for a mathematical a- bility game with panels that may be moved on a plane, comprising the following elements:
- a rectangular plane 1 of linear dimensions correspond¬ ing to five units by four units, which is equal to twenty surface units, having eventually an iron and/ or magnetic bottom 2, a peri etral edge 3 and an open- ing 4 having linear dimensions corresponding to two u- nits, provided at the centre of a smaller side;
- a square panel A, having a metal or magnetic bottom and a side corresponding to two units and a surface e- qual to four units, that must be moved during the game so as to reach the opening 4 of the edge 3;
- five rectangular panels B of linear dimensions corre¬ sponding to 2 units by 1 unit, which is equal to two surface units;
- four square panels C having a surface equal to one u-
nit so that, when they are placed on the bottom of said plane 1 and inside said perimetral edge 3, and together with all other panels A and B, they cover 18/20 of the surface of the bottom 2, leaving free the spaces corresponding to two surface units for the mo¬ vements.
Relating to figures 2, 3 and 4 the device may be used at different levels, of maximum, medium or minumim mathema- tical ability of the player, with all described panels or taking off one ot two of the square panels C and the following increase of free spaces on said bottom 2 on which the movements may be performed.
The time use for making the panel A come out.of the o- pening on edge 3 by moving panels B and C is a test of the mathematical capacities of the player.
The solutions of the game are different in consideration of the time used and the conception of the game, and therefore the same game requests a high concentration level for reminding the movements of the panels.
It is obvious that the elements of the game may also be out of wood, plastic materials, magnetic and non-magne¬ tic materials and of pocket as well as table dimensions.
In a variant - for making the game easier - one panel B may be replaced with two panels A, so as to reduce the time.
