This acts like a barb which permits extraction of the needle sheath through the front end of the shield, but prohibits re-insertion of the needle sheath. Thus, when the needle sheath 40 is present in correct position, this is the user's guarantee that the needle is sterile.

Abstract

Un dispositif de prélèvement de sang comprend un support (1) d'aiguille cylindrique, portant ou conçu pour porter une double aiguille (6, 7), et monté coulissant dans un élément de protection et de sûreté (4). Un élément élastique (13) destiné à la préhension, est fixé à la paroi ininterrompue du support (1) d'aiguille et s'étend hors d'une fente longitudinale (15) de l'élément de protection (4). A l'extérieur de celui-ci, l'élément de préhension comporte des parties (74, 75) qui sont poussées de manière élastique de l'extérieur vers l'élément de protection (4), ces parties étant pourvues d'un bec de blocage (76) pouvant s'engager de l'extérieur dans une première fente élargie (19) et dans une seconde fente élargie (20) de l'élément de protection afin de définir respectivement une position de prélèvement où l'élément de préhension (13) est avancé, et une position de préhension où cet élément est en retrait. La fente longitudinale (15) s'étend en arrière au-delà de la fente élargie afin de permettre à l'élément de préhension (13) de reculer davantage vers une position de blocage définitive. De préférence, l'élément de protection (4) comporte une troisième fente (77) à travers laquelle une languette (75) de l'élément de préhension (13), dirigée vers l'arrière, peut être enfoncée vers une position de protection à l'arrière de l'aiguille postérieure (7) afin de fixer le dispositif en une position de blocage définitive. Dans un dispositif comportant une double aiguille fixe (6, 7), l'aiguille antérieure (6) peut être enfermée de manière avantageuse dans une enveloppe (40) pour aiguille, laquelle est reliée amovible à l'extrémité avant du support d'aiguille (1) de manière à éviter toute contamination.
