Abstract

Dispositif de visualisation destiné à recevoir des signaux vidéo et à produire des images correspondantes destinées à être visualisées, qui comprend un cadre ou support (10) adapté pour que l'utilisateur le porte sur la tête, par exemple un cadre similaire à une monture de lunettes. En face de chaque ÷il de l'utilisateur le cadre soutient un écran afficheur à cristaux liquides à pixels (12) et des systèmes optiques respectifs (14) situés entre les yeux de l'utilisateur et les écrans (12) afin de permettre à l'utilisateur de visualiser les images générées comme si elles étaient à l'infini. Un écran à transmission de lumière et à micro-lentilles peut être situé en face de chaque écran afficheur de manière à produire une impression de visualisation subjective améliorée en supprimant l'effet des pixels de l'image.
