Abstract

On produit des particules polymères fines et des particules encapsulées par du polymère en dissolvant un polymère dans un solvant sélectif, et en abaissant la température de la solution et/ou en y ajoutant un élément non dissolvant pour le polymère, afin de séparer le polymère de la solution par précipitation. Des matières particulaires peuvent être ajoutées lorsque la solution est formée de sorte que, lorsque le polymère se sépare de la solution par précipitation, le polymère enrobe les matières particulaires. Deux homopolymères sont ajoutés à la solution avec le solvant sélectif de sorte qu'un polymère se sépare tout d'abord de la solution par précipitation et y est en suspension, et que le second polymère se sépare ensuite de la solution restante par précipitation, encapsulant alors les particules composées du premier polymère et produisant des particules polymères à noyau et à enveloppe. Des pigments, des liposomes et d'autres matières particulaires peuvent être encapsulées par un polymère, les particules polymères et les particules encapsulées par du polymère présentant une morphologie et une grosseur uniformes.
