Abstract

Conditionnement amélioré utilisé dans le conditionnement d'une large variété de produits, et notamment de denrées alimentaires périssables ainsi que de produits horticoles. Les produits sont placés à l'intérieur d'un emballage (10) du type établissant un environnement en atmosphère modifié et refroidi, consistant à mettre l'emballage en contact avec un élément refroidissant (14) entourant partiellement ledit emballage. L'élément refroidissant peut contenir du liquide évaporé pour augmenter le refroidissement. L'emballage ainsi qu'un collier refroidissant peuvent être soumis à un refroidissement sous vide. L'emballage peut comprendre un mécanisme destiné à augmenter la vitesse de transfert du volume de gaz pendant l'application du vide tout en maintenant l'atmosphère voulue à l'intérieur dudit emballage. L'atmosphère de l'emballage peut être préchargée à l'aide d'un gaz d'une composition voulue. De plus, on peut également y ajouter des fumigateurs. Le conditionnenemt est adapté à des applications d'emballage sur le terrain dans lesquels le produit, tel que des fraises (12), est cueilli et placé directement dans l'emballage entouré du collier de refroidissement, ledit emballage et ledit collier de refroidissement étant placés dans une boîte ou un autre réceptacle (16). Le conditionnement à atmosphère modifiée peut être scellé et palettisé avant refroidissement sous vide.
