Description

The present invention relates to an apparatus for physical training and in particular massage.

Among the devices used and available for massaging the body, none of its design allows a mode of use according to the description set out below.

The invention relates to a particular arrangement of rollers movable in rotation arranged on the periphery on a chassis or fixed frame, positioned at a certain height from the ground, at the center of which a user positions himself upright and lets himself roll on the perimeter defined by the pebbles.

The massage on the body caused by the rolling of the pebbles causes a thinning of the user in the area thus worked, it promotes blood circulation and stimulates muscle activity. The apparatus according to the invention comprises a set of rollers (1) movable in rotation, integral with a carrier element (2) or rigid frame, the assembly forming a continuous raceway. The device can be kept rigid and fixed relative to the floor or a wall using supports or feet (3) and (4). It can be fixed in the same way under a ceiling. Likewise, several devices can be attached side by side. The positioning of the device in height relative to the ground is adjusted according to the size of the user and the area of the body to be worked. The user positions himself standing on the ground inside the device with his two feet close together (FIG.3) or apart (FIG.4) he takes support on the rollers then by simple pivoting of the body, he lets roll on the inner perimeter defined by the rollers, automatically providing a massage effect. The user can flex or not bend the knees during the use of the device.

The use of the device allows by design the transformation of physical exercise (supplied by the user) into an effect resulting from massage. The rolling of the rollers on the body * is conducive to a thinning of the worked area while the balan¬ cement of the body, the only physical exercise provided by the user promotes bodybuilding in the abdominal and lumbar. Depending on the desired effects, the device can be equipped at ground level with a separate tray, articulated on a gimbal (FIG.5). The user standing with both feet placed on the platform, resting on the rollers varying its bearing force from the right foot to the left foot or vice versa, its body rolling automatically on the perimeter of rollers. This use providing a more intense massage effect based on a lower physical effort produced. According to the manufacturing methods and the materials used for the realization of the device, the rollers (1) can be located on either side of the carrier element (2), see FIG.l or only arranged above this element, see FIG.5, or be located from below according to a variant not illustrated. Another variant can be produced according to a different design, in that the rollers movable in rotation along axes kept integral between two frames or load-bearing elements mounted in parallel, these being put in place in a so-called "sandwich" arrangement, according to a variant not shown. The rollers can be conical, cylindrical, semi-spherical, spherical, or other, see FIG.5 and 6. These rollers can be made from materials of different hardnesses such as wood, rubber or different qualities of plastic, in order to offer a range of efficiency and comfort of use of the device, according to the desired results. The device can consist of a set of rollers forming a closed perimeter or not so as to facilitate access to the interior of the path defined by these rollers, see FIG. 7. Likewise, the carrying element can be equipped with a part of its pivoting or articulated outline so as to facilitate access to the interior of the device according to a variant not illustrated. The rollers can be arranged along a perimeter in the shape of a circle, oval or any other particular geometric figure according to variants not illustrated.

To ensure a massage on a larger contact surface with the body of the user, it is therefore necessary to offer a specific device design, where the body of the latter is in contact with a greater number of rollers. The device can be made for this purpose of several stages of roller track arranged in parallel layers, one above the other, according to a variant not illustrated.
