Abstract

On a mis au point un procédé d'élimination de chrome d'une matière résiduelle contenant du chrome, consistant à sécher la matière résiduelle par chauffage indirect, à la réduire à une grosseur particulaire inférieure à 0,105 mm, à la mélanger avec des réactifs alcalins et oxydants et à la faire réagir dans une cuve de réaction par chauffage indirect, approximativement selon la condition d'oxygène st÷chiométrique, afin de former une matière de réaction contenant des chromates solubles dans l'eau. On refroidit et on recalibre la matière de réaction, puis on la soumet à une extraction par solvant aqueux afin de produire une phase solide ne contenant pas de chrome, ainsi qu'une phase aqueuse contenant des chromates solubles dans l'eau. On soumet cette phase aqueuse à une évaporation ayant pour résultat une phase de chromates concentrés. Ainsi, la matière résiduelle est rendue non dangereuse et le chrome est récupéré sous forme de chromates utiles.
