Abstract

Des données d'images numériques sont automatiquement traitées par division de données d'images stockées en blocs de domaines et en blocs de plages. Lesdits blocs de plages sont soumis à des traitement tels qu'un traitement de réduction, afin d'obtenir des blocs de plages cartographiées. Ensuite, pour chaque bloc de domaines, on détermine le bloc de plages cartographiées ressemblant le plus au bloc de domaines, et l'adresse de ce bloc de plages ainsi que les traitements auxquels le bloc a été soumis sont combinés pour former un identificateur, lequel est ajouté à une liste d'identificateurs d'autres blocs de domaines. La liste d'identificateurs pour tous les blocs de domaines est appelée transformation fractionnelle, et constitue une représentation comprimée de l'image d'entrée. Afin de décomprimer la transformation fractionnelle, et de récupérer l'image d'entrée, une image d'entrée arbitraire est transformée en blocs de plages, puis les blocs de plages sont traités d'une manière spécifiée à l'aide des identificateurs afin de former une représentation de l'image d'entrée originale.
