Abstract

The vehicle comprises an elongate section (11) having chassis sections (12, 13) at its ends. The chassis sections carry respective drive wheels (17, 21) and further wheels (22, 27). The wheels (17, 21) can be driven to enable the vehicle to travel transverse to or longitudinally of itself along a field or road respectively. The elongate section (11) can be raised or lowered by adjustment rams (55) relative to the chassis sections. Also, when driving in the longitudinal direction, a front steerable wheel (17) and a rear steerable wheel (21) may be controlled so that the rear wheel steers only after the front wheel has been steered through a given angle.
