Abstract

Des composés, destinés à être utilisés dans des mélanges de cristaux liquides smectiques ferroélectriques, sont représentés par la formule générale (I); où R1 est un alkyle; Y représente COO ou OOC; m, n et p sont égaux à 0 ou à 1, pour autant que m + n soit égal à au moins 2 et, que, lorsque Y représente OOC, p soit égal à 0; X est un groupe mésogénique, en particulier un 41 -alkyle- ou alkyle-biphényle ou bicyclohexyle. Sont également décrits des procédés de préparation desdits composés et des mélanges de cristaux liquides smectiques ferroélectriques contenant lesdits composés.
