Abstract

Cette bande d'etancheite pour portes et fenetres est constituee de deux lames (1 et 2) en matiere synthetique formant un profil en V. Une troisieme lame (3) est fixee a la jointure (4) des deux premieres lames. Les lames (2 et 3) sont recouvertes, sur leur face destinee a etre collee au battant ou au bati dormant, d'une couche de colle (8). La couche de colle est elle-meme recouverte d'une couche amovible souple (9). Une gorge (10) pratiquee a l'interieur de la jointure des deux premieres lames amincit la matiere a cet endroit-la et donne la souplesse necessaire. De meme, une rainure (11) permet de replier la troisieme lame au cas ou le battant n'est pas assez large pour coller la bande entiere a plat. La configuration de cette bande d'etancheite permet d'eviter le decollement du aux efforts de traction repetee qui sont exerces lors de la fermeture et de l'ouverture de la porte ou de la fenetre. La bande est en outre facile a poser et durable.

Description

Bande d'étanchéité pour portes et fenêtres
Il existe de nombreux dispositifs d'étanchéité pour portes et fenêtres utilisant une ou plusieurs lames flexibles, garnies ou non d'un matériau compressible et élastique, comme par exemple de la mousse synthétique. De telles bandes de calfeutrage sont, dans leur exécution la plus pratique, autocollantes. Elles ont cependant tendance à se décoller partiellement, et à se soulever, ou même à s'arracher, sous l'effet des tractions répétées que provoquent l'ouverture et la fermeture du battant. Ces bandes présentent en outre le défaut d'être soit trop chéfes soit fragiles, soit encore de s'user trop vite en raison d'une rigidité trop grande.
La présente invention vise à remédier à ces défauts, en limitant notamment le risque d'arrachage et de décollement. Il s'agit d'une bande d'étanchéité décrite de manière générale dans la revendication 1 et dont les revendications 2 à 15 donnent des formes particulières d'exécution.
Les dessins représentent quelques formes d'exécution de l'invention.
La fig. 1 représente en coupe transversale la bande d'étanchéité au repos, avec toutes les caractéristiques des revendications 1 à 6.
La fig. 2 représente, également en coupe transversale, la bande d'étanchéité fixée sur un battant de porte ou de fenêtre, et dans sa posi- tion de compression maximale, avec les caractéristiques des revendications 1, 3 à 6.
La fig. 3 montre la bande d'étanchéité, dans la même forme d'exécution que celle de la fig. 2, mais dans laquelle la troisième lame est repliée en raison de la minceur du battant sur lequel la bande est fixée.
La bande comprend notamment une lame flexible 1, solîdaïre par un de ses bords d'une second lame 2. La seconde lame est apte à être fixée, et de préférence col lée, sur le bâti ou sur les battants de la porte ou fenêtre. La lame flexible s'écarte du bord du battant ou du bâti dormant sur lequel est fixée la seconde lame et son bord libre 7, opposée à la jointure 4 reliant les deux lames, vient s'appuyer, lors de la fermeture de la porte ou fenêtre, contre le bâti dormant ou contre le battant, selon que la lame flexible est fixée à celuî-cî ou à celui-là. Une troisième lame 3 est fixée à la jointαre 4 des deux autres, prolongeant la pointe du V formée par les deux premières lames. Cette troisième lame augmente largement la surface par laquelle la bande adhère au battant ou au bâti dormant. La pointe du V est ainsi solidement fixée et le risque d'arrachage diminué dans une grande mesure.
La forme d'exécution de l'invention décrite dans la revendication 2 est une bande autocollante qui utilise ia technique bien connue selon la- quel le une couche de col le 8 est protégée, avant usage, par une bande amovible souple 9.
La gorge 10 prévue dans la revendication 3 amincît la bande à la jointure des deux lames et permet ainsi une flexion aisée de la lame flexible I.
De même, la rainure II prévue dans la forme d'exécution de la revendication 4 assure un pliage facile de la troisième lame, en cas de nécessité, par exemple lorsque l'épaisseur du battant ne permet pas de poser la bande à plat, comme dans la fig. 3.
Le bourrelet arrondi 12 prévu dans la revendication 5 a deux fonctions: tout d'abord, il raidit la lame flexible, ce qui l'empêche de gondoler, ensuite, l'arrondi permet au bord 7 de la lame de glisser aisément sur les inégalités de la surface avec laquelle il est en contact.
Le rebord 13 dont est pourvu la seconde lame selon la revendication 5 a principalement pour fonction de protéger le bord 7 de la seconde lame lorsque celle-ci est repliée, comme le représente la fig. 2. Il présente également l'avantage de raidir la secoαde lame et d'éviter un gondolage nuisible à l'efficacité du collage.
Le polyéτhylene à basse densité est sans doute la matière la mieux adaptée à la fabrication d'une telle bande d'étanchétté. Il permet une fabrication aisée et bon marché . Il présente la résistance et la souplesse nécessaires. Néanmoins, il convient de le protéger contre les rayons ultraviolets par une charge de couleur.
Les revendications 8 à 15 définissent des combinaisons des formes d'exécution indiquées plus haut.
Les trois lames formant le corps de la bande peuvent être réalisées en une seule pièce, par extrusion à travers une filière de forme appropriée.

Claims

REVENDICATIONS
I. Bande d'étanchéité pour portes et fenêtres, comprenant au moins une lame flexible (1) de manière élastique fixée par un bord à une seconde lame (2) et faisant avec cel le-cï un angle aigu, une troisième lame (3) étant- fixée par un bord à la jointure (4) des deux autres, la seconde et la troisième lames étant destinées à être plaquées et fixées contre le battant (5) ou le bâti dormant (6) de la porte ou fenêtre, le bord libre (7) de la lame flexible venant s'appuyer et étant maintenu par élasticité contre le bâti dormant, si la bande d'étanchéité est fixée au battant, ou contre le battant, si la bande est fixée au bâti dormant, lors de la fermeture de la porte ou fenêtre.
2. Bande d'étanchéité selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que la seconde et la troisième lames sont recouvertes, sur leur face destinée à être plaquée et fixée au battant ou au bâti dormant, d'une couche de colle (8) sur laquelle est appliquée une couche amovible souple (9).
3. Bande d'étanchéité selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'elle présente, à l'intérieur de la jointure entre les deux premières lames, une gorge (107 réduisant l'épaisseur de la bande.
4. Bande d'étanchéité selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que la jointure des deux premières lames avec la troisième lame présente une rainure (II) réduisant l'épaisseur de la bande.
5. Bande d'étanchéité selon la revendication I, caractérisée en ce que le bord libre (7) de la lame flexible (l) présente un bourrelet arrondi (12).
6. Bande d'étanchéité selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce que le bord de la seconde lame (2) opposé à la jointure se termine par un rebord (13) dirigé vers le bord de la première lame, la lame flexible (1) étant plus courte que la seconde lame, de façon que, lorsque la bande est complètement écrasée (fig. 2), le rebord (13) déborde la lame flexible.
7. Bande d'étanchéité selon la revendication 1, caractérisée en ce qu'elle est faite de polyéthylène à basse densité comprenant une sub- stance la protégeantde l'action des rayons ultraviolets.
