Abstract

Slider for a zip fastener of which the handling pull knob comprises a built-in member which may act as a decoration or identification element and which is fixed on the pull knob by elastic hooking. The handling pull knob of this slider having the shape of an elongated ring (2), the elastic hooking of the member (3) built-in on the pull knob is achieved by an elastic tongue (10) cut out in a leg (7) integral with one of the ends of this ring. Now, this leg is capable of being engaged in a housing (8), of identical shape and size, provided inside the member (3), which comprises also a notch or an opening (11) appropriate to receive the hooking tongue (8). However, at the entrance thereof, this housing has a widened portion (9) capable of receiving the corresponding end of the ring (2) forming the handling pull knob. This slider is intended to be provided on zip fasteners.

Description

 "Slider for zipper, the pull tab of which has an attached member"

The present invention relates to the control sliders provided on the slide fasteners for controlling the junction or separation of the coupling members of the two rows of such a closure. These sliders are actuated by means of a maneuvering rod which makes it possible to move them in one direction or the other on the corresponding closure. This zipper can consist of a cut plate, one end of which is articulated on one of the faces of the body of the cursor. However, there are many different models of pull handles.

Among these, certain models of zippers are designed to receive an added element which can serve as an element of decoration or support for a trade mark, for example the mark of the manufacturer of the garment equipped with the corresponding closure. In the latter case, the addition of such an element allows manufacturers of closures to "personalize" them according to the identity of the user when it is a garment maker.

Thus, the German utility model 7101830 describes a cursor, the zipper of which is capable of receiving a decorative element attached thereto by elastic hooking. This element is in the form of a pellet in the thickness of which is formed a corridor capable of receiving the zipper of this cursor. The fixing in place of this element is achieved by elastic hooking and in one of the embodiments described, there is provided for this purpose, a hooking tooth capable of engaging in an avidity of the slider of the cursor.

However, the conditions for attaching this element to the operating rod are not fully satisfactory. This is due to the fact that this hooking tooth is provided on one of the walls of the corridor intended to receive the zipper puller. Furthermore, the solution provided does not allow the attached element to be removed later on this pull tab. However, such a withdrawal can be useful in the event of a change in the destination of the corresponding closures, or even in the case where it is essential. to make disappear a trademark, in particular on the articles equipped with corresponding closures when it is about clothes intended to be resold in demarked form ".

This is why the subject of the present invention is a bearer of this type designed so as not to have the drawbacks of current sliders and whose arrangement is such that it is possible to subsequently remove the element attached to the pull tab. this cursor.

This is essentially characterized in that the maneuvering pull consists of an elongated ring, the elastic attachment of the member attached thereto is ensured by an elastic tongue cut from a tab integral with one ends of this ring and capable of being engaged in a housing, of the same shape and dimension, formed inside this added member, which also includes a recess or the like capable of receiving the latching tongue.

In certain embodiments, the hooking tongue projects with respect to one of the faces of the fixing lug, while in others this tongue projects with respect to one of the edges of this lug.

In a particular embodiment, the fixing lug consists of a part separate from the operating puller and the end of this part, which is opposite to that intended to receive the member to be attached to the slider, is bent in the form a hook capable of being engaged in the ring of the operating puller or in a particular cover of this puller.

However, other particularities and advantages of the present cursor will appear during the following description. This is given with reference to the attached drawing for information only and in which:

Figure 11 is a top plan view of the fixing lug provided in this embodiment for securing the member to be attached to the operating rod; Figure 12 is a side elevational view of the same tab; Figure 13 is a partial view in longitudinal section of the operating rod and the member attached thereto, as well as the corresponding fixing lug. The cursor 1 shown in Figure 1 coπporte an operating rod 2c mounted thereon during its manufacture. This zipper is intended to receive, at a later stage, an added member 3c which may constitute a decorative element or even a support for a trademark, for example the mark of the manufacturer of garments equipped with closures provided with such sliders.

The operating puller 2c is constituted by an elongated ring, one of the ends of which is rounded in shape, is engaged under a cover 5c of the slider. The opposite end 6 of the ring 2 is rectilinear and it carries a tab 7 intended to serve as an assembly element with the decorative member 3.

It should be noted that the ring 2, constituting the operating puller, can also be attached to the top of the slider by imprisonment under a trigger guard formed by two protuberances suitably deformed by crimping. But, in both cases, the assembly in place of the pull tab 2 is reality during the manufacture of the cursor. The latter is therefore then mounted on the corresponding closure with such a pull tab without the decorative member 3 is already attached to it. Indeed, this member is intended to be reported at a later stage either by the manufacturer of the closure, or even possibly by the user, for example a manufacturer of clothing.

This member consists of a plate which can bear a specific trade mark, or possibly a particular decoration. This plate can have any desired shape. This plate has, in its thickness, a cavity 8 of the same shape and dinrension gue the tab 7 carried by the ring 2 to be able to serve as a housing for this tab. However, the entrance to this housing has an enlarged part 9 capable of receiving the corresponding end 6 of the operating ring 2 as shown in FIG. 2. The tab 7 has a slot extending in the longitudinal direction, on part of its length, and which delimits a tongue whose free end is turned towards the side of the operating ring 2. However, this tongue is elastic and its free end is curved so as to protrude with respect to one faces of the tab 7, as shown in Figures 1 and 3, and thus to somehow constitute a catch pawl. This is intended to engage inside an opening 11 provided in the corresponding face of the decorative member 3, when the tab 7 is fully engaged in its housing 8.

To fix this decorative member on the operating ring 2, it suffices to engage the tab 7 inside this housing 8. The latching tab 10, which is momentarily deformed at the start of this operation, then comes automatically engage inside the opening 11. This ensures perfect attachment in place of the decorative member 3 on the tab 7. Of course, as the decorative member 3 serves at the same time as a gripping element for the operation of the cursor, it is made to undergo efforts in different directions, and in particular ef strong twists. However, these are directly transmitted to the operating ring 2 due to the fact that the end 6 of the latter is itself engaged in the enlarged part 9 of the housing 8. Under these conditions, the latching lug 7, which is of less resistance, is not likely to be twisted or deteriorated under the effect of such efforts.

Thanks to the design of the present slider, the manufacturers of closures can produce several series of decorative members 3, bearing different marks or different decorations. These components can be brought back at the last moment on the slider operating puller by the manufacturers of closures according to the orders placed by their customers.

However, these decorative elements can also be reported by the users themselves, possibly from clothing manufacturers. This allows the latter not to be hampered by the presence of such a decorative member when mounting a closure on a garment. In fact, in very many cases, the presence of this member would constitute discomfort when sewing a zipper on a garment, in particular when the latter comprises beads more or less completely covering the corresponding closure. In such a case, the clothing manufacturers can then fix the closures by sewing before attaching a decorative member 3 to the sliders thereof. Under these conditions, the sewing operation can be carried out very easily, all the more since the zipper 2 which is then in place on the slider, has a reduced bulk. uri important advantage of the present cursor lies in the fact that it is possible to subsequently remove the decorative member 3 which has been attached to the operating rod 2 thereof. For this purpose, it suffices to engage a tool through the opening 11 to apply pressure on the elastic tongue 10 in order to bring it into the erasing position, after which the decorative member 3 can be removed by simple traction.

This makes it possible to dismantle the decorative member 3 to replace it with another, for example by a decorative member bearing no identification mark, when the articles equipped with the corresponding closure consist of clothing in front be sold in "unmarked" form.

FIG. 5 shows another embodiment in which the tab 7a for fixing the ring 2a constituting the operating pull is produced differently. In fact, the attachment tab 10a of this tab is located in the middle of the latter, this tab being cut out from this tab by means of two longitudinal slots joined on the side of the end 6a of the ring 2a.

As in the previous embodiment, the decorative gripping member 3a, which is intended to be attached to the ring 2a, comprises a housing 8a capable of receiving the tab 7a. At its entrance, this housing has an enlarged part 9a, suitable for receiving for its part the end 6a of the ring 2a. Finally, one of the walls of the housing 8a has an opening 11a in which the hooking member 10a can be engaged.

The assembly mode is therefore the same as in the previous embodiment and it is also possible to easily remove the gripping member 3a by engaging a pushing tool through the opening 11a. Figures 6 and 7 show another embodiment in which the fixing lug 7b of the operating ring 2b comprises two elastic hooking tabs 10b produced in this lug and separated from each other by an appropriate cutout 12 allowing these two tongues to be brought together momentarily when they enter the housing 8b provided in the member 3b which must be attached to the ring 2b. Indeed, these two tongues feel designed to be able to deform elastically in the plane of the fixing lug 7b, and not relative to this plane as is the case in the first two embodiments described.

The entrance to the housing 8b has a widening 9b capable of receiving the corresponding end 6b of the ring 2b. In its slot, this housing has another enlargement determining the formation of two shoulders 13 against which the elastic tongues 10b of the fixing tab 7b can be hooked, as shown in FIG. 7. In addition, opposite this enlarged part, two channels 14 are provided which extend transversely across the thickness of the member 3b and open onto the edges thereof. These channels are intended to allow possible dismantling of the member 3b. Indeed, it is possible to engage through these pushing members so as to act on the elastic tongues 10b according to the arrows F1 and F2 in order to be able to unhook them. These thrust members can advantageously be constituted by the ends of the two branches of an appropriate clamp. Figures 8 and 9 show an embodiment in which the fixing lug 7c has a single lateral hooking tongue. When it is a plan view from above, this fixing lug then has the shape of one of which one of the branches is attached to the corresponding end 6c of the operating puller 2c.

As for its other branch, it is independent and constitutes the attachment tab 10c of the fixing lug. This tongue comprises, at its free end, a retaining spout 16 which projects relative to the corresponding edge of the fixing lug. ^'

However, the cutout 17 provided between the two branches of this tab is wide enough that the retaining spout 16 can be erased relative to the corresponding edge thereof by elastic bending of the fastening tab 10c in the plane of the ellermal fixing lug.

On this subject, it should be noted that this bending is easily carried out since it corresponds siirplement to a bringing together of the two branches of the U formed by the fixing lug, by deformation of the bent end of the latter. Under these conditions, it is therefore possible to provide on the attachment tab, a retaining spout projecting sufficiently large to ensure a perfectly effective attachment.

As in the previous embodiments, the housing 8c provided in the thickness of the plate 3c has, at its entry, an enlarged part 9c capable of receiving the corresponding end of the operating ring 2c, as shown in Figure 2. Furthermore, the plate 3c coιrporte, on both sides the location of the fixing lug 7c, two housings 18 each of which is capable of receiving the retaining spout 16 of the hooking tongue. Under these conditions, no particular precaution is to be taken for the engagement of the fixing lug 7c inside its housing, as it should have been the case if the plate 3c had included a single housing intended to receive the retaining spout.

It should also be noted that the two housings 18 thus provided in the wafer 3c are simply formed by two openings made in the thickness of the latter and which open on both sides thereof (see FIG. 4 ). Under these conditions, the production of these housings presents no particular problem for the manufacture of the wafer 3c which can be ensured by means of a mold of very simple design. However, it should be noted that the openings thus provided make it possible to later disassemble the plate 3c. Indeed, it is possible to engage inside one or other of these openings, a suitable tool for exerting a thrust on the retaining spout 16 in order to ensure the erasure of the latter. This allows to dismantle the plate-3c to replace it with another.

Figures 10 to 13 show yet another embodiment of the cursor according to the invention. In it, the fixing lug, intended to ensure the assembly of the corresponding decorative member 3d and the operating puller 2d, consists of a part 7d distinct from the operating puller. Under these conditions, this zipper / etied'un usual type, unlike what is the case in the embodiments previously described. In fact, in the present case, this pull tab is constituted by an elongated ring, one of the ends 4d of which is rounded in shape, is engaged under the cover 5d of the slider, however its opposite end has an extension having an opening 19.

As for the fixing lug 7d, it has an elastic hooking tongue 10d which is similar to that provided in the embodiment shown in FIG. 5. Indeed, this elastic tongue is cut in the middle part of the lug 7d fixing and its free end is raised to constitute a sor snap ratchet.

The fixing lug 7d is intended to be engaged inside a housing 8d of the same shape, provided in the thickness of the decorative member 3d. However, the latter comprises, on one of its faces, a light 11d communicating with the housing 8d and which is intended to receive the raised end of the latching tab 10d (see FIG. 13).

The end of the fixing lug 7d, which is opposite to that intended to be introduced inside the decorative member 3d, is curved over itself to form a sort of open hook 21. This is susceptible to be engaged inside the opening 19 of the corresponding end of the operating puller 2d. This makes it very easy to assemble the fixing lug 7d with this pull tab. However, it should be observed that these two parts could possibly separate since the hook 21 is open. This is the reason why the 3d decorative member has, on one of the edges of the entry of the housing 8d, an extension 22 in the form of a beak which is intended to somehow complete the hook 21 when the tab of fixing 7d is fully engaged in this housing. Indeed, as shown in Figure 13, the hook 21 is then placed in the center of the spout 22, so that it comes to form therewith a bearing inside which is enclosed the corresponding edge of the zipper 2d . Thus, the latter is perfectly secured with the fixing lug 7d and consequently, with the 3d decorative member.

It should be noted that due to the arrangement thus provided, this decorative member can be articulated on the operating lever 2d, which was not the case in the embodiments previously described. Indeed, in these no articulation of this kind was possible since the fixing lug was integral with the operating puller.

However, the main advantage of the present cursor lies in the fact that the use of a fixing tab separate from the operating puller makes it possible to use a puller of conventional type which can be used on other sliders. For closure manufacturers, this therefore has the advantage of simplification spare parts stocks.

However, the present cursor continues to have the same advantages as the other embodiments of the cursor according to the invention. Thus, the 3d decorative member can be replaced by another later.

Claims

1. Slider for zipper, the operating puller of which comprises an attached member which can serve as a decoration or identification element and which is fixed to this puller by elastic hooking, characterized in that the operating puller consisting of a ring (2, 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d) of elongated shape, the elastic attachment of the member (3.3a, 3b, 3c, 3d) attached to it is ensured by an elastic tongue (10,10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) cut from a fixing lug (7,7a, 7b, 7c, 7d) integral with one of the ends of this ring and capable of being engaged in a housing (8,8a, 8b, 8c , 8d) of the same shape and dimension, formed inside this added member, which also has a recess or the like capable of receiving this hooking tongue. 2. Slider according to claim 1, characterized in that at the entrance of the housing (8.8a, 8b, 8c) intended to receive the latching tab (7.7a / 7 ⁷ c ^b ) of the pull tab maneuver, there is an enlarged part adapted to receive the corresponding end (6,6a, 6b, 6c) of the ring constituting this zipper. 3. Slider according to claim 1, characterized in that the hollow intended to receive the elastic tongue (10,10a, 10b, 10c, 10d) of the hooking lug consists of an opening (11, 11a, 14,18, 11d) formed in the corresponding part of the member attached to the operating puller, this opening making it possible to subsequently engage a tool for bringing this tongue into the erasing position for disassembly. 4. Slider according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the hooking tongue (10,10a, 10d) of the fixing lug protrudes, relative to one of the faces thereof and is suitable to be elastically deformed relative to this face to be brought into the erasing position. 5. Slider according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the hooking tab (10b, 10c) of the fixing lug protrudes relative to one of the edges thereof and is capable of being deformed elastically in the plane of this tab to be brought into the erasing position. 6. Slider according to claim 5, characterized in that the member (3c) intended to be attached to the operating puller, comprises two housings (18) arranged on either side of the location of the fixing lug (7c) and each of which is capable of receiving the retaining spout (16) of the latching tongue (10c), these housings being formed by openings made in the thickness of the corresponding member and opening onto one and the other faces of the latter. 7. Slider according to claim 1, characterized in that the fixing tab of the operating puller (2d) consists of a separate part (7d), the end opposite to that intended to receive the member to be attached (3d ) is bent in the form of a hook (21) capable of being engaged in the ring of the operating puller or a particular opening (19) of this puller. 8. Slider according to claim 7, characterized in that on the edge of its housing (8d) intended to receive the fixing lug (7d), the member (3d) to be attached to the pull tab has an extension (22) in shape of spout against which is placed the hook (21) carried by this tab (7d) so as to form a closed bearing inside which is trapped the corresponding edge of the ring of the pull tab (2d).
