Diese Aufgabe ist erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst worden, daß die mit Kuppen besetzte Tragfläche der anatomischen Gestalt des Rückens einschließlich des Halsansatzes angepasst gewölbt ist und die Kuppen mit einem auf elektrostatischem Wege aufgeschossenen Faserfior versehen sind. Ein solches Gerät eignet sich vorzüglich dazu, an der Wand neben der Badewanne aufgehängt zu werden. Der auf die Kuppen aufgeschossene Faserflor besteht aus relativ kurzen Fasern, die sich bei der Massage nicht umlegen, sondern mit der Borstenspitze auf die Haut treffen. Wegen der weiträumischen Verteilung der beflockten Kuppen können auch behinderte Menschen einen hohen spezifischen Druck der Kuppen auf die Haut ausüben, da es lediglich einer Relativbewegung des Rückens gegenüber dem Massagegerät bedarf, und zwar sowohl seitlich als auch auf und ab. Um das erfindungsgemäße Selbst-Massagegerät noch besser der individuellen Gestalt des Rückens des jeweiligen Benutzers anpassen zu können oder um einzelne Partien des Rückens einer besonders intensiven Massage auszusetzen besteht nach einer weiteren Ausbildung der Erfindung die mit Kuppen besetzte Tragfläche aus korrespondierenden Teilstücken, die als Einsätze in entsprechend ausgebildete, einseitig offene Zellen einer Grundplatte eingelegt und dort gehalten sind. Durch unterschiedliches Unterlegen der Teilstücke kann die gewünschte Anpassung leicht durchgeführt werden.
