Abstract
La presenta invención se refiere a constructos genéticos capaces de manipular la biosíntesis de fructanos en células fotosintéticas de una planta, dichos constructos incluyendo un promotor o fragmento funcionalmente activo o variante del mismo, operativamente ligado a un ácido nucleico codificando una enzima fructosiltransferasa bacterial o un fragmento funcionalmente activo de la misma. La presente invención también se refiere a biosíntesis modificada de fructosanos en plantas y, más particularmente, en células fotosintéticas, incremento de biomasa de plantas y, más particularmente, potenciación del rendimiento de biomasa de plantas y/o estabilidad del rendimiento y potenciación de la productividad de rutas bioquímicas.
