Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un proceso mejorado para la lixiviación y recuperación de metales preciosos y minerales que los contengan, basado en el uso de soluciones de tiosulfato amoniacal de cobre con EDTA añadido y la electroseparación directa selectiva de ellos a partir de dichas soluciones. La solución remanente puede recircularse a la etapa de lixiviación, obteniendo desempeños similares a los producidos con soluciones frescas, implicando que la composición de la solución no se alteró de manera significativa durante el proceso de electroseparación. El proceso mejorado ofrece una eficiencia y rendimiento superiores en la recuperación de metales, a los procesos conocidos.The present invention relates to an improved process for the leaching and recovery of precious metals and minerals that contain them, based on the use of copper ammoniacal thiosulfate solutions with added EDTA and the selective direct electroseparation of them from said solutions. The remaining solution can be recirculated to the leaching stage, obtaining performances similar to those produced with fresh solutions, implying that the composition of the solution was not significantly altered during the electroseparation process. The improved process offers superior efficiency and performance in metal recovery, to known processes.
