Abstract
Es posible resolver en forma eficiente (+-) -1- azabiciclo [2.2.1] heptano-3-ona, en sus isómeros (1S, 4R)- y (1R, 4S)-1-azabiciclo [2,2,1]heptano-3-ona, mediante la formación de sales hemitartrato di-p-toluoil por combinación con di-p-toluoil-L-ácido tartárico y di-p-toluoil-D-ácido tartárico, respectivamente. La cristalización selectiva que emplea una cantidad menor que la estequiométrica de uno de los ácidos tartáricos di-p-toluoil en una mezcla solvente adecuada permite aislar el isómero deseado en forma de su hemitartrato di-p-toluoil correspondiente en alta pureza isómero. Los hemitartratos aislados poseen una conservación estable y pueden ser utilizados como tales en la preparación de productos farmacéuticos y otros compuestos biológicamente activos, o pueden ser usados para proporcionar la base libre del respectivo isómero 1-azabiciclo[2.2.1]heptano-3-ona.
