RUSSELL H. BURR, OF WEST MERIDEN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO C. ROGERS 85 BROTHERS, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR COFFIN ORNAMENTS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 9,423, dated August 1, 1876; application led [Term of Patent' years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, RUSSELL H. BURR, of West Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Casket Ornn'nient; and 1 do hereby declare the following, when teken in connection with the accompanying drawings, to be nfnll, clear, and exact description of the seme, and which said dren-ings constitute part of this specification, and represent a face view.
This invention relates to a design for casket ornaments, or may be a substitute for nameplete; and it consists in the peculiar contguration, as hereinafter described.
The center or ground is of circular form, over and drooping to each side of which is the representation of a. ribbon, on which are the words Our Darling Babe. This ribbon .my 24, 1ero.
rests upon a base corresponding to its form, surmounted with a. tip, and also with a footpiece or projection et the bottom, as shown in the accompanying illustration. On the circular center there is the representation of n vase of flowers; but this may be dispensed with, and the center used as a. naine-plate.
I claim- The design for casket orne-ment, consisting of the circular center, with a representation of n ribbon above and drooping to each side, on a. ground of corresponding form, surinouuted with a. tip, and withefoot-piece or projection, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
