Be it known that I, MERRELL HERMAN SWAR1Z, a citizen of the United States, residing at Wadsworth, in the county of Medina and State of Ohio, have invented a certain new, original, and ornamental Design for a Combined Set of Book Matches and Container Theref0r, of Which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part thereof, in which drawing Figure 1 is a top plan view of the sets of book matches and the container. Fig. 2 shows either side of the container in elevation, and Fig. 3 shows either end of the container in elevation.

The book matches are provided in four sets,

each set having pictured thereon one of the four diierent pips of a pack of playing cards. The book matches are stacked in sets, layer upon layer, in a rectangular container having sides, ends and bottom, with the pip faces exposed.

Both the book matches and the container may be colored as desired.

Preferably contrasting colors are used in order to accentuate the ornamentai design.
