DESlGN FOR A SHAWL-PATTERN.
Specification forming part of Design No. 6,157, dated September 21, 1872.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FREDERICK WINK, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for a Shawl-Pattern, of which the following is aspecification The tigure in the acconlpanyingdrmving represents suiiicient of a. shawl to illustrate my design, the main characteristics of which are the lace-like borders a a and I) I). These borders may be combined either with stripes made according with the design shown in the drawing, or with any other stripe. The stripe A, for instance, is composed of the above-mentioned lace-like borders, a series of plain ribs, 0 c, and aeentral bar, (I, ornamented in a manner too clearly illustrated in the drawing to need description. The lace-like borders 1) b of the stripe B differ from the borders a. (b as regards detailed ornamentation. The central bar h of the stripe B also differs as regards 0rnamentation from that of the bar (I.
1 claim- 1. A shawl stripe edged with lace-like borders u (L b b, or their equivalents.
2. The design of the stripe A, as shown and described.
3. The design of the stripe 13, as shown and described.
4. The design fora shawl-pattern, consisting of alternate stripes A and B.
