DESlGN FOR A TASSEL-HOOK.
To all whom 'it may cancer-n:
Be it known that I, HUBERT L. J UDD, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented or prodnecd a Design for a Tafssel-Hooli; and the following is deelared to be a full and correct description of the same:
This design relates to the shape or configuration of the tassel-hook, and to the ornanientation upon the same. The tassel-hook is made in two parts, a back plate to be secured to the wall or other place of attaehment, and afront plate at the end of an arin extending from the back plate.
In the drawing, Figure 1 is an elevation of the tassel-hook complete. Fig. 2 is an elevation of the back plate; and Fig. 3 is a Vertical section of said tasseLhook.
The general Outline of the back plate a is that of diamond, with the bevelled ('dgcs b, ornamented by the uGrecian border c, except at the angles, where the border is made with coneave sunken panels d, of the Shape shown. Scroll-ornaments are shown at e e, and at f f screw-holes are provided, surrounded partly by scroll-ornaments. The surfaees of the recessed panels are of stipple work, and leafi ornainents are introduced in the central panel of the plate a, as seen in Fig. 2, at h. The hook or front plate m at the central portion is ornamented by the lnedallion '11, in relief, pan tially surrounded by the milled edge and scalloped border p. The upper and lower portions of the hook are formed with leaf-andscroll ornaments in relief upon the sunken surface, as shown.
I claim as my inventionl. The back-plate a, of the shape or configura-tion shown, and ornainented snhstantially as deseribed and represented.
2. The front plate or hook, of the Shape or configuration shown, and ornaniented substantially as deseribed and represented.
