DESIGN FOR A RADIATOR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 32,040, dated December 26, 1899.
Application iilecl November 18, 1899. Serial Not 737,529. Term of patent 7 years.

Be it known that I, EDWARD C. Ross, a citizen of the United States, residing at Newburg, in the county of Orange and State of New York, haveinvented and produ ced a new 1nd original Design for Radiators; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear,
and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
1n theacconupanying drawings, which form part of this specification, Figure l represents a perspective View of a radiator embodying my design. Fig. 2 represents a transverse sectional view taken through one of the columns.
The leading feature of my design consists in the top and base pieces in the form of truncated cones, having their larger circular faces toward each other and the columns extending between the top and base pieces, and being ribbed or corrugated annularly for a portion of their length adjacent to each end and being corrugated longitudinally between the upper and lower annularly-corrugated portions.
In the drawings, A represents the top piece in substantially the sh ape of a. truncated cone, having its larger circular face on the bottom.
B represents the base-piece, which is also in the form of a truncated cone, having its larger circular face uppermost.
C C C represent the columns extending between the top piece Aand the base B. Each of these columns has a portion c adjacent to its upper and its lower end ornamented bye. series of transverse corrugations, and the portion of each column between said transverselycorrugated portions is ornamented by being formed with longitudinalIy-extending corrugations, as shown, the outwardlyextending portions of which form a. series of parallel ribs c substantially semicircular in cross-section, between which are grooves c2, as shown best in Fig. 2.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a radiator substantially as herein shown and described.
