TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, EZRA G. CONE, of East Hampton, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Connecticut, have invented a new and original Design for a Sleigh-Bell; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a sleigh-bell, showing my design, and

Figure 2 shows the outer surface of the cup or bottom part of the hell, roughened to imitate nature.

My invention consists in giving to a sleigh-bell theshape or form of an acorn.

In the accompanying drawing, A designates the tip of the bell, which is of a similar shape to the nut or body of an acorn. B designates the bottom of the bell, which is of a similar shape to the cup of an acorn.

In fig. 2, I have shown the outer surface oi the bottom of the bell, roughened to imitate the rough outer surface of the cup of the acorn. With the above slight difference, the two figures are alike, and both represent a sleigh-bell like an acorn in shape.

I will here remark that the tip of the bell is provided with a throat, constructed in any suitable manner, to permit the escape of the sound, and the point is provided with a narrow throat, invisible at a short distance, by which construction the sides of the tip of the bell being separated, a full vibration of sound is permitted.

My design produces a sloighbcll of a new and attractive appearance.
