(AppUAlf-lml M In. 98, 1899.)
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN MCCQRMICK, OF DES MOINES, IOWA.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,445, dated March 28, 1899-.
Application filed February 28,1899. Serial No. 707,221. Term of patent 7 yes".
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JOHN MCCORMICK, a citizen of the United States, residing at Des Moines, in the county of Polk and State of Iowa, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Hammer and Staple and Nail Puller, of which the following is a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, and in which Figure l is a perspective view showing the exterior configuration of the different parts, and Fig. 2 is a sectional vertical central view.
The letter A designates the part designed for connecting a wooden handle therewith, and B is an integral round poll that extends at right angles from the handle portion and has a convex bottom face, as shown in Fig. 2.
C is an integral extension on the top of the part A and has an inclined front face D. Its side faces F are convex, and one of them has a transverse groove adapted to admit the heads of nails.
The top of the part 0 terminates in a com tracted extension H,that is pointed and adapted to enter the top or closed end of a staple.
It is obvious the size and weight of the complete tool may vary as desired.
Having thus described my invention, what I therefore claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent therefor, is-
The design for a. hammer, staple and nail puller, as herein shown and described.
JOHN MCCORMICK.
