HENRY F. AUSTIN, OF SHELDON, VERMONT.
DESIGN FOR A STAPLE-FULLER AND WlRE-STRETCHER.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY F. AUSTIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at East Sheldon, in the county of Franklin and State of Vermont, have invented and produced a. new and original Design for a Staple-Puller and \Vire-Stretcher, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
The drawing shows a perspective view of a staple-puller and wire-stretcher embodying my design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material feature of my design consists in the generalshape of the tool, the body portion a being substantially oblong and being curved downwardly and then upwardly at one end. This curved end is bifurcated so as to represent two fingers. In the body adjacent the curved end is shown an elliptical opening. At the opposite end the outline of the tool is extended laterally at both sides, the outer face of the extensions being curved, as shown at b, while the inner faces extend at right angles to the body. At one side of the body the outer and inner faces of one of the extensions meet in a taper, the outer and inner faces at the other side being out square across. The extension forming the taper is bifurcated, as shown at d. The two lateral extensions at one end form substantially a semi-ellipse having one and cut away.
Having tb us described my invention, what I claim is- Y The design for a staple-puller and wirestretcher as herein shown and described.
