Description

'DESIGNA No. 34,987. Patented Aug. 20, |90I. W.4 F. SIEGENEB.
SHELF PAPER.
lApplicaton tiled July 29, 1901.)
OOOOOO UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
VILLIAM F. SIEGENER, OF PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA, ASSIGNOR TO HERRMAN DIENELT, OF SAME LLACE.
DESIGN FOR SHELF-PAPER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,987', dated August 20, 1901.
Application filed July 29,1901. Serial No. 70,187. Term of patent 3i years.
To all whom/ it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM F. SIEGENEE, a citizen of the United States, residing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a certain new and original Design for Shelf-Paper, of which the following is a specification.
My design, which relates to the ornamental border of the shelf-paper, is shown in the accompanying drawing, which represents sufficient. of the pattern to illustrate the design, the remainder of the pattern being merely a repetition of what is shown.
The design comprises as its essential features certain rows of perforations and perforated figures adjacent to the scalloped edge of the paper.
l represents a scalloped edge, and 2 a row of circular perforations inside said edge and following the contour of the scallops. On the opposite side of the border is a line 3 of circular perforations, and between said line and the scalloped edge are a series of figures 4 and 5, forming the balance of the design. The figures 4. alternate with the figures 5, the
former consisting of a central circular perforation and a series of wedge-shaped perforations projecting toward said central perforation, while the latter consists of a central circular perforation and a series of wedgeshaped perforations on four sides of the same, said central perforation and the wedge-shaped perforations being surrounded by a series of smaller circular perforations, which form an approximate square. The figures 5 are disposed in line with the scallops of the edge.
Having thus described my invention, I claim and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for shelf-paper, substantially as described and as shown in the accompanying drawing.
1n testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
WM. E. SIEGENEE.
Witnesses:
